The Nedbank Cup Round of 32 matches are already under way and we take a look at selected fixtures over the weekend and suggest a bet in each of them.
CAPE TOWN CITY v BLOEM CELTIC
Cape Town City are 6th in the PSL and are undefeated in their last 3 matches, most recently drawing 1-1 away at Baroka. A feature of Cape Town City matches this season is they have been higher scoring than other teams in the PSL and both teams to score has also arrived on numerous occasions. In fact in Cape Town City’s last 11 matches, both teams to score backers would have collected in 10 of the games. Whether that free scoring football will flow over into Cup action remains to be seen.
Bloem Celtic are currently 12th on the log with one win in their last 5 matches. They are coming off a thrilling 3-4 defeat away at AmaZulu in the League and a result like that is very out of character for Bloem Celtic who tend to be involved in lower scoring encounters.

Cape Town City 19/20
Draw 47/20
Bloem Celtic 59/20
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score at 21/20
This bet is certainly well in recent times in Cape Town City matches and I certainly have to stick with it given how often it has delivered in the League.
GOLDEN ARROWS v AMAZULU
Arrows are travelling well in the League currently sitting in 4th position, 8 points behind Mamelodi Sundowns, but with a game in hand. They have only lost once in the League all season.
AmaZulu are rapidly marching up the table and currently sit 7th with 3 successive victories heading into this match. Arrows themselves are coming off successive home wins over Pirates and Maritzburg and AmaZulu’s last away match was a 2-0 win at Baroka.

Golden Arrows 13/10
Draw 21/10
AmaZulu 23/10
Suggested Bet: Correct score 1-1 at 19/4
1-1 is what the score line has finished in the team’s last 2 head-to-head matches at Golden Arrows in the League and while that is comforting what I really like about the score line is that both teams are playing good football and should be evenly matched. They are also starting to find the net with some regularity.
KAIZER CHIEFS v RICHARDS BAY
This match takes place on Sunday and sees Premier League, Kaizer Chiefs up against Richards Bay who are plying their trade in the GladAfrica Championship, effectively the Division below the PSL.
Chiefs started climbing the League table with 3 successive victories, but they subsequently have gone draw, draw, loss and their last defeat was 2-1 against Orlando Pirates.
Richards Bay are pushing for promotion to the PSL and they currently sit 2nd in the GladAfrica Championship, level on points with the leaders, 12 matches in to the season. They had a comfortable 4-1 victory in the GladAfrica League on the weekend, but prior to that their previous 4 matches have all delivered for under 2.5 goal backers.

Kaizer Chiefs 9/20
Draw 59/20
Richards Bay 15/2
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at PRICE TO FOLLOW
Chiefs have a habit of making hard work of these early Cup fixtures and while I think they should get the win it may just be by the narrowest of margins and I am hoping for a low scoring match.
