BettingDiaryWe take a look at some of the betting opportunities available to punters on Friday in our Daily Diary.

FOOTBALL

Punters will ease into domestic league action after the International break with a Championship match between Fulham and QPR on Friday night. Fulham are currently sitting 7th on the table just outside of the playoff spots and they face a QPR side that is 3 positions and 2 points behind them having not won in their last 4 starts.

These sides last met in the Championship in 2017/2018 season with the sides drawing this fixture 2-2 and Fulham winning 2-1 on the road. Fulham are 17/20 for the victory with the draw 28/10 and QPR priced at just over 3/1, while this is a toss-up between a Fulham win or over 2.5 goals currently trading at 13/20.

CRICKET

International Test matches continue between New Zealand and England and Australia and Pakistan. Pakistan started well against Australia, but they are now onto 9/1 to win the game with the Aussies 1/12 and the draw 33/1.

New Zealand v England is more evenly poised after a slow first day during which England lost 4 wickets. New Zealand are now underdogs at 15/4 with England into 9/10 and the draw, a big runner in our opinion, at 23/10

The Mzansi Super League continues on Friday with the Paarl Rocks against the Jozi Stars and as has been the case in many of these matches bookmakers are struggling to separate the sides and you can get 10/11 the pair and there are also plenty of exotic markets on offer and there will be in-running betting for those watching on Friday night.

RUGBY

The European Rugby Champions Cup continues this weekend and on Friday night we have Ulster up against Clermont. Both sides were impressive in their own right last weekend and there has been some money here for Clermont who have continued to firm and are now 7/10 to win on the road. Backing French teams on the road can be risky though and Ulster will certainly have their share of supporters at current odds of 12/10. The handicap is set at Ulster (+2.5) at 9/10 and you can Click Here to bet on Ulster v Clermont and Click Here for all Rugby Union betting over the weekend.

HORSE RACING

Local horse racing takes place at the Fairview Polytrack on Friday, an 8 race card starting at 12:25 and finishing at 16:35.

The first really strong favourite of the day comes in the 2nd Race, Horse No. 4, Good Times Roll and this one is currently priced at 8/10 for the win. Pick Six punters will likely be looking to Race 5 for their banker, Madame Speaker carrying 61 kilograms over 1600 metres, but still a favourite at 15/20 with the obvious danger, Horse No. 3, Miss Smarty Pants currently priced at 22/10.
