BettingDiaryThe UEFA Champions League is back and is the focal point of Tuesday’s betting Diary.

FOOTBALL

The third round of Champions league gets under way on Tuesday night and a look at the 8 matches shows that most of them are quite one-sided as far as the betting goes.

In Group A, Real Madrid are 13/20 to beat Galatasaray away and both teams are without a victory in their first 2 matches.

In Group B, Bayern Munich have got off to a flyer and have won both their matches and they are 4/10 to beat Olympiacos on the road while Tottenham, who are going through a terrible time domestically, have only taken 1 point from their first 2 games and will be desperate for a victory at home to Red Star Belgrade where they are 3/10 favourites.

In Group C, Manchester City sit in pole position with 2 victories from 2 starts and they should have few problems in seeing off bottom of the table Atalanta where they are priced at 2/9 for the victory and over 3.5 goals is priced at 7/10.

The other game in the Group is the early kick-off between Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb and this is quite a competitive betting match with the home team at 15/20, the visitors at 4/1 and the draw at 26/10.

Group D is topped by Juventus on 4 points, the same points as Atletico Madrid with Lokomotiv Moscow just a point behind them. This means Juventus’s home game against Moscow takes on significant importance, but they are strong favourites at 2/9 with the visitors 13/1.

In the other game Atletico Madrid are 13/20 to beat Leverkusen who are 19/4.

Our best bet on the night is Juventus to score 3 or more goals at 21/20

HORSE RACING

Local horse racing takes place at the Durbanville Track in Cape Town with an 8 race card scheduled to get off at 13:25 and to finish at 17:40.

As usual we have taken a glance at the card to see if we can come up with any value bets or Pick Six Bankers. There are a number of short priced runners early in the card including Queen of Quiet 7/10 in the opener and Freedom Of Speech will be a popular banker in the first leg of the Pick Six, Race No. 3 with the current price at 7/20.

Our value bet of the day comes in the 7th Race run over 1400 metres where we fancy Horse No. 4, the Garth Puller trained, Miss D’Aray, currently priced at 10/1 for the win and 16/10 for the place.
