BettingDiaryChampions League football and Absa Premiership are once again the highlights for punters on Wednesday, we take a closer look in our betting diary.

FOOTBALL

Champions League, Groups A through to D are in action on Wednesday night and in Group A, PSG are currently on 9 points with 3 wins from 3 while Real Madrid have only won 1 of their opening 3 games, but they are 2/11 to see off bottom club Galatasaray.

Club Brugge are currently 3rd and they face table toppers, PSG on the road where they are 29/1 to record an upset victory.

Bayern Munich look to be strolling to top spot Group B with 3 wins from their 3 starts and they are 2/11 to see off Olympiacos at home.

3rd place Red Star Belgrade are at home to Tottenham in a crucial match and the English side is favoured here at 7/10 with the home team 37/10 and the draw 3/1.

Group C looks all about the race for 2nd place with Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk currently each on 4 points, 5 points behind leaders, Manchester City. The pair meet in Zagreb on Wednesday night with the home team 12/10, Shakhtar Donetsk 22/10 and the draw 51/20.

The other match in the Group sees Atalanta at home to Man City with City 5/10 favourites for a 4th consecutive victory.

Group D is looking pretty competitive especially at the top of the table where Juventus and Atletico Madrid are both on 7 points with Lokomotiv Moscow 4 points further back in 3rd.   Moscow have it all to do at home to Juventus where they are 19/4 underdogs with the draw 59/20 and Juventus 6/10. Leverkusen have lost all 3 of their opening matches and they are at home to Atletico Madrid who edge favouritism at 31/20 with Leverkusen 19/10 and the draw at 22/10.

There are 4 PSL matches on Wednesday night and all of them look to be fairly competitive betting heats. Sundowns are warm favourites away from home against Baroka and are currently priced at 15/20 and they will be looking to win and keep the pressure on Kaizer Chiefs who are 5 points ahead of them at the top of the table having played 1 game more.

Cape Town City have got off to a slow start this season and currently sit 13th with only 3 points from the last 15 they have played for. They are 11/10 at home against Polokwane who have lost their last 3 and have fallen to 6th on the table. We expect Cape Town City to bounce back to winning ways.

Chippa United currently sit bottom of the table and they have it all to do against top of the table Kaizer Chiefs who have won 4 successive matches. Were this fixture taking place anywhere else in the world you would expect the visitors, Chiefs, to be odds on, but you can get 33/20 that they win the game 2/1 about Chippa United and 37/20 the draw. Based on current form Kaizer Chiefs surely have to be backed at those odds.

The 4th match sees 15th placed AmaZulu take on 10th placed Stellenbosch and both sides have won their last 2 matches and this could well be the most exciting encounter of the night and we fancy over 2.5 goals at 31/20.

HORSE RACING

Racing on Wednesday is at the Greyville Polytrack an 8 race card starting at 12:50 and finishing at 17:05.

Desolate Road, Horse No. 2 in the 3rd Race could be a popular Pick Six banker and is currently priced at 15/20 and while we have some firm favourites on the card, it does look like some serious studying will need to be done to find the winners.
