MANCHESTER CITY v BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH – Click here to bet

Manchester City were too strong for the Germans in the 1st Leg , winning 2-0 on the road and they now return to their home base where they won all 3 of their group matches, scoring 3 goals on each occasion.

City have bounced back from the home defeat to Manchester United in the League with 3 goal victories over Southampton at home and Fulham away.

Monchengladbach have it all to do after losing the 1st Leg and looking at their away form in the group stages they lost 1, won 1 and drew 1 with the loss their most recent away game, 2-0 at Real Madrid.

They are a team that is really batting at the moment and they have lost 7 of their last 8 games in all competitions and their last 6 in succession. On the weekend they went down 3-1 away at Augsburg.

City have hosted Monchengladbach twice in the Champions League in 2016 and 2015 and on both occasions they scored 4 goals.

BETTING

Manchester City 1/4

Draw 21/4

Borussia Monchengladbach 10/1

Suggested Bet: Goals home team 3 or more at 1/1

City are in rampant form on all fronts at the moment and they are playing against a side that looks to be in a lot of trouble and I can see them winning comfortably.

REAL MADRID v ATALANTA – Click here to bet

Real Madrid take a narrow 1-0 advantage into this tie having beaten Atalanta on the road in the 1st Leg.   Looking at their home form in the Champions League group stages, they played 3, won 2 and lost 1 and they have scored at least 2 goals in each match, even the one they lost against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Madrid warmed up for this one with a 2-1 home win over Elche in the League on the weekend and they are undefeated in their last 8 matches in all competitions.

Atalanta will take heart from the fact that they won all 3 of their away matches in the group stages including beating Ajax and Liverpool on the road. They beat Spezia 3-1 in the League at home on the weekend and they generally have been in good form with only 2 defeats in their last 10 matches in all competitions.

BETTING

Real Madrid 11/10

Draw 11/4

Atalanta 23/10

Suggested Bet: Real Madrid win at 11/10

Real Madrid are not the dominant team we have seen in past seasons, but Atalanta will be forced to push forward for the win and I think Real Madrid will take advantage of the gaps that should appear.
