BettingDiaryThe Proteas will be looking to wrap up a 2-0 series victory when they take on the West Indies in St Lucia on Friday and the bookies have them priced as firm favourites.

I had suggested in the 1st Test preview that the price of 4/1 about the draw could be some decent value, but that was made to look very foolish after the West Indies won the toss and were bowled out for just 91 runs, with only Jason Holder reaching 20. Ngidi and Nortje were 5 and 4 wickets respectively doing most of the damage.

Our Top Bat pick, Markram did at least give us a run for our money making 60 in South Africa’s reply, but in the end it was Quinton de Kock with an unbeaten 141 that helped the Proteas build a first innings lead which would eventually see the visitors win by an innings and 63 runs. Rabada bounced back to form in that second innings with 5 wickets and there was also 3 for Nortje and Maharaj bagged 2 while for the Windies, Roston Chase became the first home batsman to reach 50 in the match.

SECOND TEST MATCH BETTING – Click here to bet

West Indies 11/4

Draw 4/1

South Africa 8/11

Suggested Bet: South Africa win at 8/11

With Nortje, Ngidi and Rabada all firing it is hard to see this West Indies batting line-up living with the South African attack.

Suggested Bet: Top Away Batsman, Dean Elgar at 33/10

Elgar disappointed with the bat in his debut as Captain getting a duck and I am expecting him to knuckle down and get amongst the runs in this match.

Suggested Bet: Nortje Top Away Bowler at 28/10

He picked up 7 wickets in the first Test and the West Indies batsmen looked uncomfortable with his pace and bounce. With Rabada and Ngidi also firing this looks a fairly open market, but Nortje has been the most consistent of the bowlers of late and I am happy to have my money on him for this one.
