Six more Uefa Champions League matches take place on Wednesday when the likes of PSG, Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are all in action

We have another 6 fixtures taking place on Thursday so look out for our preview, in the meantime let’s tackle Wednesday’s coupon.

Barcelona vs Feyenoord

At odds of around 1 / 9 to win the game Barca are one of the shortest prices on the midweek UCL coupon and they have come out of the blocks flying this season, winning their first 4 La Liga matches, scoring 17 goals and keeping 3 clean sheets.

In the Dutch top flight Feyenoord are in third place, unbeaten with 3 wins and 2 draws, scoring 13 goals and conceding 7.

Stuttgart vs Viking

Stuttgart have had just the two Bundesliga outings this season, losing the first 5-1 away to Bayern before bouncing back with a 4-1 thrashing of FC Koln in a home fixture. The German side are 1/ 4 to make a winning start to their UCL campaign.

Viking cam through qualifying with a 5-3 aggregate win over Dinamo Zagreb, drawing 2-2 away from home and finishing the job with a 3-1 win in the return. Theya re currently second in Norway’s top division, 3 points behind Bodo/Glimt who put a real marker down in this competition last season.

Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid

These teams also met early in the UCL last season at Anfield and it was Liverpool who came out on top 3-2. Much has changed since then and after opening their EPL season with 2-2 draws at Newcastle and at home to Notts Forest Liverpool chalked up their first win last Friday, 2-0 at Ipswich with Isak scoring a brace.

It’s been a bit of a mixed start to the season for Atletico in La Liga. They have won at home to Malaga and away at Sevilla but they dropped points in a 2-2 draw at home to Villarreal and last weekend they lost 3-0 in Bilbao.

Napoli vs Arsenal

Napoli’s season in Serie A started with a 2-0 win at Genoa before they suffered back to back defeats at home to Como (2-1) and away at Inter (3-2).

Last season’s runners up Arsenal have won their first 3 EP matches, at home to Coventry (3-0) and most recently Chelsea (2-1) either side of a 1-0 win at Aston Villa.

PSG vs Slovan Bratislava

PSG are trading at around 1 / 16 to make a winning start to their defence of the UCL title in this game. However they have failed to win any of their first 3 Ligue 1 matches, drawing 2-2 at Lens and Lille before losing 2-1 at home to Monaco.

Slovan came through 3 rounds of qualifying, getting past Iberia 1999 3-1 on aggregate, Mjallby also 3-1 on aggregate and then Celje 3-2 over the 2 legs. They are currently fourth best in Slovakia’s top division with a record of 4 wins and 2 defeats.

Sporting GC vs Galatasaray

Sporting are unbeaten in the Portuguese top flight with 4 wins and 1 draw and they are in second place, 2 points behind Porto who set the early pace.

Galatasaray are currently 1 point clear at the top of Turkey’s top division with a record of 3 wins and 1 draw and they have been involved in some high scoring games, scoring 12 goals and conceding 6.

Wednesday Bets

The games at PSG and Barca are one sided betting heats which I won’t be getting involved with. With Stuttgart also quoted at restrictive odds it leaves me 3 games to focus on.

I’m going to side with Arsenal to win at Napoli but with the home side contributing to the scoring at a boosted price.

I’m also going to take a chance that Liverpool with fire against Atletico and I’m with them to score 3 or more.

Finally in the game in Lisbon I’m looking for both teams to score in a game of 3 or more in total.

Bets:

Arsenal to win and both teams to score? Yes at 31/10 with Sportingbet

Liverpool total goals over 2.5 at 19/10 with Sportingbet

Sporting vs Galatasaray, both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals? Yes at 19/20 with Sportingbet
