A great week o racing capped by Champions Day on Saturday at Turffontein with 3 x Grade 1's and 4 x Grade 2's.

K8 ALLTHRBOYSIVELOVED @ 12.5/1 ew. 

all her fromlines are decent and stable comments positive re her chances. top jock on board.

K9 CEASOURS RANSOM @ 8/1 ew

returns from break after gelding but gets a decent draw for a change and has beating of favourite on only meeting.

Not playing Monday South but did catch R3 and a couple of very nice babies in Kalahari King and Aquae Calidae ran 1st and 2nd in a race which might stand up really well in terms of future form

100% chris, those baby winners races 2 to 4 all looked impressive. what a season we have ahead in kzn, cannot wait, cape guys coming up loaded and confident.

Nice each way play with AllTheBoys on Monday South, just a small interest in the last race at The Vaal on Tuesday for me, Bronkhorst yard has some lively runners here and battling to split them but just about favouring Palace Revolt who was running off a mark of 80 August last year and is now a 65, currently 10/1 , big field in such a wide open race so just a nibble

Kenilworth April Fools Day:

Race 2 - Swift Serenity (5/2) has been close up last four starts and gets my vote here. Favorite, Iona Castle, tries the minimum trip for the first time.

Race 4 - Beneath The Clouds (13/2) out at the weights with Pentolina, but seems to be better over todays trip.

Race 5 - Williams Woman (3/1) - Never far off, has Final Call to beat.

Race 7 - Teflon Man (13/2) - Down in class and could finally win again.

today one so far - G2 CRIMSON TYPHOON @ 16/1 ew. race is very weak but the moore yard have a superb strike rate and with a good draw and back on the poly, i think this one is a touch value.

geez woeful run by roughie. will keep main focus on tomorrow but will try 1 more today, also a big price - last race Captain Ventura @ 18/1 ew, same combo as the one that just ran a stinker, but venneker last race of card record always one to respect.

Fav looks hard to beat and been backed, but this is full brother to Sohot Sowhat who has won over distance and possess's a flying finish which will be helpful with draw and if needing to do low flying. Small play.

Race 2 - Get up & Queen Lelia
Get up - Was on her the last time and she finished well. Like the jock as well.
Queen Leila - Trainer and Jockey have been good to me and has won course and distance. Thought might pop up since drawn on right side.

Race 4 - Nebraas @ 25/1
Old fav of mine and got a decent weight to carry. If can get back to earlier form should have a chance. 

Race 6 - Rodeo Drive @ 25/1

Race 7 - Truth @ 10/1 & Mount Pinotubo @ 80/1

Race 9 - Texas Missle @ 6/1 & Master Spy @ 18/1

Some nice picks for today Chris. Mine as follow:

Race 1 - One Of Those Days (11/20) narrowly beaten by MR 104, Porridge Boy last time out. Proper (33/10) was backed on debut in the very strong Splittheeights form line when beaten 14 lenghts. Tarry yard has a line through Tin Tin and Magic Carpet Ride. Can't see anything else coming close. 

Race 2 - Griselda Top 3 place @ 19/20

Race 3 - The Bronx Bull 33/10

Race 4 - With Chris on Enflame (3/1)

Race 5 - Slight preference for One Eye on Vegas (13/10) over Main Defender. MD third run after a rest. Money Heist Top 4 @19/20

Race 6 -  Double Grand Slam (9/10) x Golden Palm (33/10) Straight line exacta. Callmegetrix Top 4 @ 9/10

Race 7 - Buffalo Storm Cody (15/20)

Race 8 - See It Again (12/10)

Race 9 - Healthy respect for Curious Girl (16/10) opting to rather take on the boys. Sword Speed Win @ 10/1. Top 4 @ 13/10

Race 10. Taking Drumnadrochit Top 3 @ 8/10 rather than Hazy Dazy win at the same price. Payout might be better on the tote. Stampede Ahead Top 4 @ 11/5 

Race 11 - Antonio Gaudi Top 4 place @ 21/10

Race 12 - Monkeypuzzle E/W @ 4/1. Has strong form behind the likes of Trust, Speedman and African Pride. Apprentice Ramkhalawon has won 5 of his last 7 rides including a double last night.
 

short of time so very quick comments - 

race 1-4 no bet, can't have these small fields heavy odds on favourites.

race 5 - cosmic speed @ 8/1 ew. assume tarry has a plan for owners after trying further, has strong distance form.

race 6 - past is prologue @ 66/1 ew, weighted to place. yard not sending her up to be embarrased and she is a really big strong 3yr old filly, no harm at the price.

race 7 - mia moo @ 25/1 ew, just one i've punted a few times before and will enjoy the track and conditions today.

race 8 - olivias way @ 12/1 ew. still hurts she didn't land the big priced win in summer cup but will stay loyal.

race 11 - esquevelle @ 12/1 ew.







 

Cheers for all the Champions Day picks lads, some good ones landed wins and places, one of my better feature days, can't believe Cats Pajamas went off that price, Natie knows how to raid from KZN.
