Workriders meeting at the Vaal today - Will most probably just watch. Play with caution!!

Race 1 - Foxy After Dark E/W @17/2 - Comments were positive on debut. Returns from a rest - Stable in form

Race 2 - Buffalo King Cody (1/4) - Should canter in, price very short though.

Race 4 - Gathering Winter (9/2) - Big chance on penultimate run behind stablemate, Ada Lovelace.

Race 5 - Trial Runner (19/20) - Won againST stronger before, Mosia booked to ride.

Race 7 - American Rebel E/W @ 14/1. Like the trainer/jockey combo. Rating down to the same mark when last winning a year ago. Swingers with Real Stunner.





 

Vaal again on Tuesday, weather forecast on Gallop not great.

My Saturday plays at Greyville

R1 Omkhulu Boss at around 7/2, not sure what went wrong last time when unted but secondd run close to St. Hary looks a strong enough form line of the raced runners

R4 Not sure where to go go here with the Snaith runners, Okavango has fitness on side but might just watch this for pointers to later in the seson

R6 Not much between Fast and Free and Serpentine Fire on last run, slight preference for Serpentine Fire at around 4/1

R7 Isivane each way at 25/2, probably more of a place chance, only rated 11 point lower than the 13/10 fav and a number of these look to be prepping for targets down the line

R8 Kalahari Roller at around 8/1 .was punted last time and slow away, don't know this appy but hopefully worth his 4kg claim , MR not in a bad space, c & d winner

R10 I'm still trying with Diani, each way 14/1 despite the worst draw

double - Trust onto Hah Lah Lah @ 14/1. Trust my early july fancy, tough draw and up against a good one today but think he's up to the task. HLL i  believe very highly rated and could be anything.

roughie of day - race 9 Charlie Croker @ 30/1 ew, just think he's got a good run in him based on best cape form.

 

Greyville

Race 5 - Past is Prologue (9/2) - Last run was in a Grade 1. Drops back in class and goes well for Patel.

Race 6 - Small E/W on Cassandra @ 33/1

Race 7 - Also fancy Trust @ 22/10

Race 10 - JP's Palace (11/2) - Been running against stronger of late. Form just franked massively by Okavango. 

Nice one Hah Lah Lah on Saturday South 

I think connections will be pretty comfortable with Trust's run, first time at Greyville. Only a length between the 3 Snaith runners in the conditions race earlier in the day with Mocha Blend also running a nice race, first run since Summer Cup win. 

First round of decs for the July are on Monday.

I can’t believe winner in last went off at 10/1. Of course I didn’t take it in a single when fancied it. 

Trust I was a bit disappointed in to be honest. Will see how shapes up in coming weeks. Not bet down yet on ante post market.
