Beats the second favorite on the Delta Queen form line, and level on the Lemon Delight run, both on equal weights. Has the highest speed rating, so with the apprentice claim today, will play catch me if you can.

Race 1 - Carlo Collodi @ 12/1 (WSB)
Drifting in the betting with a few sites but I like the breeding, Sire thrown a few young sprinters and Dam was speedy winning first time up. Dam Sire Trippi also points to some speed, gets top Jock back from Dbn so hoping for a chance.
Race 2 - Sonic Burst @ 14/1 & Emma's Girl @ 17/1
Sonic Burst I backed first time out, and was not a bad run I thought. Should have come on from run and Elusive Fort has Sired some decent sprinters. From dam side looks to be some pace as well.
Emma's Girl - Like the breeding and Sire is known for speedsters. Doesn't look like stable elect but still gets top jock
Race 3 - Maison Merci @ 12/1
Was highly spoken of by stable if I remember but said was looking for bend. Well drawn and gets stable jock. Fav looks hard to beat on form but drawn 13 could have some issues, sohoping for a good run for my money.

Race 6 - Rock Trip @ 6/1
Very well weighted and on line through Duchess of State, holds the favorite. I was lucky to get on at 8/1 but see come in now.
Race 7 - Fleeced @ 25/1 & Vandah's Spirit @ 14/1
Fleeced has some more than decent early sprint form, and beaten the favorite twice before over distance and more favorable weight terms.
Same with Vandah's Spirit if comes back to form
Race 8 - Ferrari Red @ 33/1
Bred for speed and half sister to pacy Elusive Heart. Also after previous long break ran a cracker behind Larentina. Worth ago at these odds.
Enjoy the racing

Late involvement for me -
R7 Secret Depths, has a touch of class, trip short of best but hopefully running on nicely at end. ew 10/1
R8 Almost Captured, top yard, seems a bit overpriced in my view with good draw. also 10/1 ew

No use crying over split milk, but i played this race a straight line quartet 1/9/6/10...wanted to box the first two, and even wanted to switch positions...would've been a R60K plus race for me

Turffontein today and expecting some nice racing.
Race 1 - Great Stratz @ 18/1
A couple of decent runs and has beaten more favored stable companions and Habib keeps the ride. Heavily weighted to places
Race 2 - Art Master @ 55/1
Again another Elusive Fort baby which did well for me yesterday, and going back to well. Favorite Vars Vicky looks hard to beat after impressive 1st run. But like the breeding for Art master so hoping runs into places.
Race 3 - Waltzing Al @ 40/1
Had a few decent runs but looks held by favorite Duke of Gold. But to me no superstars here and might pop up
Race 5 - Bien Venue @ 15/1
Top 2 in betting look like top sorts, but BV older and last couple of runs have been close. If either of 2 fav's fluff there lines could see this one running into it.
Race 6 - Corrido @ 40/1
Merit rating has dropped down nicely to a more reasonable rating in my opinion, and on the weight swing arounds holds quite a few of the more favored horses, Just don't think should be at this price. Yes drawn wide but can run on up the long straight
Race 7 - Circle of Latitude @ 20/1
On runs behind Wylie Wench and Now you See Me, holds the favored horses on the weight turn around with the Appie up. Well drawn and I have always liked this horse.
Race 8 - Putin's Promise @ 17/2 & Golden Tune @ 50/1
Putins Promise, beaten the MDK fav, Bassam before and on the run behind Bergac, getting 2kg's for a 1 length beating. Also drawn better
Golden Tune has beaten favorite Bassam as a maiden by 3.5 lengths. Yes last 2 runs have not been impressive but if comes to any of earlier runs, definitely worth a g. But my main bet is Putins's Promise.
Enjoy the racing today.
