Glasgow Warriors:

Glasgow Warriors hosted Connacht in the quarter finals last week and although the scores were level at 7-7 at half time they eventually came out on top 33-21 with Kyle Steyn scoring 2 of their 5 tries. The Warriors home ground at Scotstoun is now under renovations so this match has been switched to Murrayfield, Edinburgh.

The Warriors topped the standings at the end of the regular season and hence they will also host the final should they win this game. They won 13 and lost 5 of their matches to finish 2 points clear of Leinster, 5 ahead of the Stormers and 6 better off than the Bulls.

The Warriors have beaten the Bulls (in Glasgow) twice this season. In the Champions Cup Round of 16 they edged it 25-21 whilst in Round 4 of the URC they ran out winners 21-12. In other URC matches against SA opposition this season the Warriors beat the Sharks 35-19 in a Round 1 home fixture whilst on tour in SA in Rounds 15 and 16 they were thrashed 52-12 by the Lions in Johannesburg and 48-12 by the Stormers in Cape Town.

In the outright betting to win the URC title this season Glasgow Warriors are 24/10 second favourites with WSB

Bulls:

The Bulls put Munster away in the last week’s quarter finals at Loftus, a tenth URC win in their last 11 outings in this competition. A one sided contest finished 45-14 in their favour with the Bulls scoring 6 tries to Munster’s 2. The Bulls are now bidding to make it to a third successive URC final having lost to Leinster in Dublin in 2025 and at home to their opponents here in 2024.

The Bulls finished the regular season in fourth place with a record of 12 wins and 6 defeats. With 59 log points they were 1 shy of the Stormers, 4 behind Leinster and 6 adrift of Glasgow Warriors who topped the log.

The Bulls won each of their last 6 matches to force they way into the top 4 and secure a home quarter final and included in that sequence was a 34-31 home win over Munster in Round 14.

In other matches against Irish opposition the Bulls beat Leinster 39-31 in a Round 2 home game, they lost 28-7 to Ulster in Belfast in Round 3 and edged out Connacht (28-27) in Galway in Round 4.

In the outright betting to win the URC title the Bulls are now 4.75/1 with WSB. Leinster top the boards at 8/10 and the Stormers are 10/1 shots.
