BLUES HALF TIME HANDICAP NEVER IN DOUBT

Posted 15 Feb 10h08

Defence seemed optional in the Drua game and they sadly fell sort of the win but what a game Blues v Chiefs was.

The half time handicap looked dead and buried for 39 minutes but somehow arrived and as my good punting mate Coil and I like to say "never in doubt" LOL

Massive credit to Brad Breath for highlight the halftime/fulltime Blues/Chiefs at 10/1

Going to leave my involvement to the minimum in the Force match and will post remaining rugby bets in the URC Blog

FORCE v PASIFIKA

Posted 15 Feb 00h09

The handicap is currently Force -6.5 and the points line is 55.5. Conditions are hot but dry and after the 1st 2 games on Friday I cannot bring myself to go for the unders.

There has been some money for Pasifika with the cap in from +7.5 and I am going to go one step further and suggest they can win the game.

BET: 2 units Moana Pasifika win at 22/10 at WSB

TIME FOR A NEW WEATHER SITE

Posted 14 Feb 12h07

A mixed start with Crusaders overs arriving and the unders in Sydney missing.

The big disappointment for me was the weather site linked to below. The forecast looked awful right until kick off when in fact it had stopped raining hours ago and under 48.5 always looked too low. I like the way they set the weather out but with this sort of accuracy it is time to look for an alternative.

As Arnie would say "I will be back" with the Force match play tonight.

DRUA v BRUMBIES

Posted 14 Feb 07h20

This is almost a choice game with money coming for the Drua although there is still some 29/25 (1.16/1) dangling about on the Drua.

It is never easy to play in Fiji and with hot conditions expected the under 48.5 points is tempting but having seen a tweet from The Admiral backing the Drua I am going to hitch my wagon to that one.

BET: 4 units Drua win at 1.16/1 at Betxchange

BLUES V CHIEFS

Posted 14 Feb 07h03

What a match to start the season and as The Mossman said on last nights THE HANDICAP our rugby betting show these are the teams he would back to play in the final.

He also pointed out he fancied the Blues to beat the handicap of -5.5 which has been stable all week.

His preference though given the Chiefs bench strength was for the Blues to lead by 3 points or more at the break a bet I am happy to follow (this will certainly make the newsletter in some form - click here to get my weekly mail due out late Friday or early Saturday)

BET: 5 units Blues -2.5 1st half handicap at 9/10 at Hollywoodbets

WARATAHS V HIGHLANDERS

Posted 13 Feb 23h19

This line was -6.5 on Monday and it has moved to -7.5 so it has been fairly stable. I saw some under 50.5 points on Wednesday but that is as low as 46.5 in places with 48.5 also on offer.

The weather forecast doesn't look great with rain and wind about and I am going to bet that we get 48 points or less in this fixture for the 3rd time in a row.

BET: 3 units under 48.5 points at 0.92/1 at Betxchange

CRUSADERS V HURRICANES

Posted 13 Feb 23h04

There has been money for the Crusaders who have moved from -1.5 to -3.5 and the points line is 53.5.

The Crusaders were terrible last season failing to make the quarters but I expect a much stronger season from them.

In their last 5 home matches of last season they scored at least 28 points and I am going to take the 9/10 over 27.5 rather than 1.73/1 they score over 3.5 tries.

Conditions look decent although there is some wind forecast

BET: 4 units Crusaders over 27.5 points at 9/10 at Pokerbet

SUPER RUGBY ON THE HANDICAP

Posted 13 Feb 07h04

The Mossman joins me from New Zealand live tonight at 21h00 to talk Super Rugby Pacific Week 1 betting - click here to watch and set a reminder on You Tube

A quick look at the handicaps shows very little movement but some money for the Crusaders, Waratahs, Drua and Pasifika on the handicaps which have seen 1 point shifts.
