This is the only URC match taking place this weekend and the Stormers need a win to move into the play off spots. Their record of 4 wins and 5 defeats for 21 log points sees them in 12^th place on the log and 3 points behind 8^th place Edinburgh and this is their game in hand on the European sides.

 

After crashing out of the Champions Cup a couple of weeks ago the Stormers remained in Europe to take on Leinster in Dublin last weekend and they finished beaten 36-12.

 

In the previous 3 URC round the Stormers played SA derby matches, losing to the Sharks in Durban (21-15) in Round 7, in Round 8 they beat the Lions in Cape Town (29-10) and in Round 9, also in Cape Town, they won the return with the Sharks (24-20).

 

In the outright betting to win the URC title the Stormers are 25/1 shots with WSB.

 

Bulls:

 

The Bulls have played only 8 matches so far, 1 less than the Stormers and 2 fewer than the Europeans and they are in third place with 30 log points, 7 behind Glasgow and 18 shy of Leinster. They have won 6 and lost 2 of their matches so far and in the outright betting to win the URC title the Bulls are 5/1 second favourites with WSB.

 

The Bulls also failed to make the cut in the Champions Cup but will contest the Challenge Cup play offs. Their most recent URC outing saw them beat the Lions 35-22 in Johannesburg on 25^th January. Their only other SA derby this season saw them edged out 20-17 by the Sharks in Durban just before Christmas.

 

In last season's URC head to heads with the Stormers the Bulls lost 26-20 in Cape Town before a 40-22 victory at Loftus.
