English Premier League action continues on Saturday and Sunday and we have a play for selected matches including Brentford v Liverpool, Arsenal v Aston Villa and Man United v Brighton
Prices from Sportingbet are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.
Newcastle 13/20 Draw 31/10 Bournemouth 38/10 (Saturday)
Six straight wins have taken Newcastle up to fourth and 5 of those victories have been accompanied by a clean sheet. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 9, 5 wins, 4 draws and they are 4 places and 4 points behind Newcastle in the standings.
The Verdict
Newcastle are flying but Bournemouth are are also in good shape and they could be competitive. I'll nibble at the price boost for Isak and Semenyo to both register 2 or more shots on target.
Bet: Isak and Semenyo to both have over 1.5 shots on target, was 5/1 now 5.75/1 with Sportingbet
Brentford 5/1 Draw 4/10 Liverpool 9/20 (Saturday)
Another tough home game for Brentford who have lost 2-0 to Forest and 3-1 to Arsenal here recently but in midweek they struck back late to draw 2-2 with Man City. Consecutive draws at home to Man United and away to Forest have seen Liverpool's lead at the top of the log reduced to 4 points although they still have a game in hand.
The Verdict
Liverpool have not been at their best in the last 2 league games and an EFL Cup semi final first leg defeat at Spurs. They could bounce back right here but I'm a little nervous of this one and will settle for a play on TAA to register a shot on target.
Bet: Player shots on target Alexander-Arnold, 1 or more at 1.75/1 with Sportingbet
Leicester 29/10 Draw 27/10 Fulham 9/10 (Saturday)
Leicester are second bottom and they went down 2-0 at home to Palace in midweek, a sixth straight defeat during which time they have found the net just twice.
Fulham's unbeaten 8 match run came to an end at West Ham last time out when they were edged out 3-2 and they remain in mid-table.
The Verdict
Antonnee Robinson is having an excellent season and a lively candidate to provide another assist for Fulham.
Bet: Player Assists, Antonnee Robinson, 1 or more at 9/2 with Sportingbet
Arsenal 5/10 Draw 34/10 Villa 11/2 (Saturday)
After Wednesday's 2-1 home win in the derby with Spurs Arsenal are clear in second spot, 4 points behind Liverpool and unbeaten in their last 11 league games.
Villa had been in a poor run of form away from home but a 1-0 win at Everton sees them come into the round in seventh spot, behind Manchester City on goal difference
The Verdict
I thought Odegaard was excellent for Arsenal in midweek and he is my pick to score anytime.
Bet:Anytime goalscorer Martin Odegaard at 32/10 with Sportingbet
Everton 1.85/1 Draw 5/2 Spurs 1.37/1 (Sunday)
Everton are without a win in their last 6 and the 1-0 defeat to Everton was a third straight loss, and goals remain like gold dust. Spurs are in free fall in the standings, still missing key defenders and they have taken just 1 point from their last 5 league games
The Verdict
We all know about Spurs problems in defence but I thought they offered little in attack for much of the derby at Arsenal. However I'm happy enough to have a
small wager on Solanke's price boost to open the scoring.
Bet: 1st Goalscorer Dominic Solanke, was 11/2 now 6.25/1 with Sportingbet
Man United 21/20 Draw 26/10 Brighton 24/10 (Sunday)
Amad scored a late hat trick to rescue Man United in a 3-1 home win over Southampton in midweek. They remain just below half way in the standings but previously they drew at Liverpool and then knocked Arsenal out of the cup on spot kicks so things are looking up.
Brighton's 2-0 win at Ipswich on Thursday snapped a run of 8 league games without a win although 6 of those matches finished all square and they are 5 points better off than their opponents here.
The Verdict
Man Utd were very poor until Amad burst into life in midweek and Brighton are no mugs. I'm open minded about this one but Bruno Fernandes has a profitable choice for me in the golascorer markets this season and I will stick with him.
Bet: Anytime goalscorer Bruno Fernandes at 18/10 with Sportingbet
Ipswich 6.75/1 Draw 9/2 Man City 7/20 (Sunday)
Following the 2-0 home defeat to Brighton Ipswich are back in the bottom 3 due to a poorer goals scored record than Wolves. A recent 2-0 win at home to Chelsea would offer encouragement but they have only won 3 league matches this season.
City shot themselves in the foot in the 2-2 draw at Brentford and finished the midweek round in sixth position, 3 points shy of fourth placed Newcastle and 12 behind league leaders Liverpool.
The Verdict
I'll go with City to claim maximum points but with Ipswich contributing to the scoring
Bet:Man City to win and both teams to score? (yes) at 1.65/1 with Sportingbet
