OCEAN SKY is an unraced son of Querari from the Eric Sands stable with Aviwe Bikwe in the saddle. He is related to multiple Grade 1 winner Royal Victory. If not in need of this outing, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

Race 2

LET IT BE SAID won a good race in his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The manner in which he quickened up and drew off in the closing stages was encouraging. He has won once and finished second twice from as many starts on this course. The son of Vercingetorix tries the 1600m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can follow up with another victory.

FATAL GEM is better than her last start in the Grade 3 Tsogo Sun Summer Fling Stakes. She is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Her last victory came under Luyolo Mxothwa and the combination merit healthy respect.

RICH FOLKS HOAX was given a well-timed ride when winning his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He is in a good space and should be involved at the finish once again.

Race 3

PAY THE PALACE is better than his last start in the Grade 3 SplashOut Cape Of Good Hope Nursery. His penultimate run when third over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, catches the eye. The son of Potala Palace should love the rise to 1400m and if suited to this course, he can shed his maiden tag.

SUPPOSEYOU’VEHEARD produced a decent debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Querari would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should pose a threat.

ROCKAROUNDTHECLOCK finished 1.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

Race 4

GIMMEATHRILL is better than his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He returns from a 16-week break, during which time he was gelded. His penultimate run when third over this C&D catches the eye. He jumps from pole position and if not in need of the run, he may be the one to beat.

TRIPPING THUNDER showed good speed over 1200m last time, before getting caught late by Jet Force. The manner in which he races suggests that he will be suited to 1000m. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he is one of the leading contenders.

HERITAGE RIDGE found one too good in the form of Flying Finley last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She has finished third twice from as many starts over this C&D. She should be the first female past the post.

 

 

Race 5

VICTOR HUGO is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He took the lead at the 150m mark last time, before getting outrun late by It Is My Time. The son of Danon Platina is a progressive type and jumps from a good draw of four. If suited to this course, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

SHOW OFF ran a decent race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He was green in running but stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the run and with luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

FUTURE FREQUENCY was disappointing in his last start over 2000m. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has been gelded which may have done the trick. The son of Futura would not be a shock winner.

Race 6

OCOTILLO stayed on when second over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Querari finished second on debut on this course. She will love the rise to 1500m and with Craig Zackey retaining the ride, she is the horse to beat.

BENEATH THE CLOUDS showed good improvement when second over 1200m last time. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber will love the rise to 1500m and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

WEHAVEASITUATION has decent recent form lines to her credit. The daughter of Master Of My Fate jumps from a good draw of four and she can earn another cheque.

Race 7

TRIPPI’S SILK finished 0.3 lengths behind TAMBOURINE MAN last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

TAMBOURINE MAN was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Twice Over meets a similar line-up this afternoon and he merits healthy respect.

TRES CHIC finished 2.8 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 8

WAR CHARIOT has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that Golden Destiny has come out and won again since. The son of Pomodoro has won twice from five starts on this course. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and would not be a shock winner.

MISS WORLD was touched off in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She is in a good space and should give the males a run for their money.

AFRICAN PRINCE was doing his best work late when second over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry- ripe. He carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and cannot be ignored.

Race 9

PILOT FLAME ran a fair race over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that Give Me Everything has come out and won again since. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she may be hard to peg back from her good draw of three.
