Our recent profitable run continued with the Bulls delivering the handicap against the Lions at Loftus on Sunday.
Once again a pretty sparse weekend of rugby ahead, but of course we have a massive 2nd Test match between the Springboks and the British & Irish Lions. My money was on the Lions last week so it was with mixed feelings that I watched the game with a few Springbok supporters and saw the visitors come back to take the win.
RASSIE – GENIUS OR JOKER?
The build up to this game is unlike anything I have seen with Rassie Erasmus’s video sparking all sorts of controversy and opinion and we discussed it and possible betting implications on last night’s edition of THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat that Matters”.
On the show I was joined by @ThoughtsOnSports and The Conductor and there were some confident calls from the panel as well as some firm opinion on the Erasmus factor.

As far as tomorrow’s Test goes, I will be hosting a braai and having a few beers as I watch what is likely to be a great contest. I am a bit concerned that we are going to have a situation where the TMO is getting involved to check every ruck and maul. That would likely mean more penalties though and I am looking for points in the game with the current line set at 41.5 although I got 40.5 in the preview.

SIGMA LIONS THE BUSINESS
Onto the Best Bet of this weekend and it comes early with the Sigma Lions up against the Pumas later today.
Both guests on the show last night felt that lines points were the stand out play and with conditions looking perfect in Jo’burg I am fully in agreement. This Lions team love to run the ball and although the points lines weren’t out when I did my preview and went for (-6.5) Lions I am going to get further involved.
BEST BET: 5 units Lions over 34.5 points* at 0.86/1 at Betway
*I was holding on for a Lions tries quote but nothing seen as yet and given game is in a few hours I will take the points line.
