FLAME TREE returns from a 13 week break. Her form prior to her run in the Fillies Guineas was solid and perhaps she took on too much last time out. She lost a length at the start that day and if jumping on terms here, she must be a big runner starting from a handy draw and getting Anton Marcus back in the saddle.

Race 6: LADY LU (6)

Jockey: G Cheyne - Trainer: W Nel

A open F&M MR 82 Handicap faces punters and some caution is advised. The tentative selection goes to LADY LU who has not finished too far off the winner in all five of her runs to date. She gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time this afternoon and if these help keep her mind on the task at hand, she could find herself in the winners box. Her draw three is a plus.

PINK FLOYD has consistent formlines to his name and will be hoping to go one better than his last two outings when finishing second over the seven furlongs. The 4yr old gelding steps up to the mile today, but he overraced last time out and still found extra over the latter stages.

RADIANT LOVE has solid recent form to his name and was only overhauled late when setting the pace in his last outing over the mile. He is likely to adopt the same tactics this afternoon and may prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of the race.
