The daughter of Twice Over finished second in her only attempt on this course. She takes a drop back in class and has a very good chance of notching up the hat-trick.

SOMERSET MAUGHAM followed up his maiden win with a good third-place finish over 1400m at Kenilworth. Despite having to ease at the 1000m mark, he finished his race off strongly. The son of Trippi finished third in his only attempt over this distance. He should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and may be the one to side with.

RED LARK is much better than his last start in the Grade 3 Politician Stakes. He ran a decent race in Grade 2 Concorde Cup in his penultimate start despite excuses. The son of Twice Over is unbeaten from three starts on this course. He takes a drop back in class today and should strip a much fitter horse.

Race 5: AUGUST LEAVES (1)

Jockey: Fourie R - Trainer: Snaith J 

AUGUST LEAVES finished 0.4 lengths behind NIGHT SONG last time and is 0.5kgs better off at the weights. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner's enclosure.
