Race 1:

GREENHILL hails from the visiting Paul Peter stable. She has shown good improvement in each of her outings thus far. She raced from a handy position last time and tried hard, but found one too good in the form of Hotchiwitchi. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the drop in trip and if suited to the polytrack, she should go one better here.

DAWN RAIDER produced a promising debut effort over this distance on the turf. It must be noted that Bernie's Dream has come out and won again since. He returns from a 14-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. If not in need of the run, he should be one of the leading contenders.

LOVE LIES found plenty of betting support in his comeback run over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. He gets the services of a 4kgs claiming apprentice and should strip fitter. The son of Pathfork is a solid back-up for the Paul Peter stable.

Race 2:

SABRINA FAIRCHILD has shown good improvement in her last two starts after returning from an 11-week break. She showed good speed last time, but found one too good in the form of Midnight Gem. The blinkers remain fitted and from pole position, she may be the one to side with.

MY BIG VISION'S last two starts with the blinkers fitted have been decent. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Visionaire will be staying on at the business end.

VARVACIOUS has shown improvement in her last two starts with the ear muffs fitted. She should have finished closer last time as she hung in the closing stages. It must be noted that Star Act has come out and won again since. If keeping on a straight line, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 3:

SOLLER has finished second in her last three starts. She set the pace last time, but was outrun in the latter stages. She is suited to today's distance and from her handy draw of two, she should take a power of beating. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride which could make the difference.

GLOBAL APPEAL has decent recent form with the blinkers fitted. The daughter of Global View jumps from a good draw of four and will be staying on strongly at the business end.

AMPLIFY produced a fair debut effort over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course. She understandably raced green that day and would have come on from the outing. The daughter of Judpot will love the extra furlong on offer and should make the natural improvement.

Race 4:

SEKHMET took on much stronger company in her last start over this distance at the Vaal. The daughter of Vercingetorix has dropped to a competitive rating and meets the right field today. If suited to the polytrack, she can notch up her second career victory.

AALSMEER produced a decent comeback run over 1200m last time. She finished 0.7 lengths behind ARIANOS SPINNER in her penultimate start and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. She should strip a much fitter horse and merits obvious inclusion.

HOT MONEY has decent recent form to her credit. It must be noted that Freestate Star has come out and won again since. She has finished second twice and third twice from as many starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she should go close.

Race 5:

BELLS AND WHISTLES has finished fourth in her last three starts with the blinkers fitted. The manner in which she ran on at the finish over 1400m last time was encouraging. The daughter of Mogok will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and can shed her maiden tag.

ROCK FLIGHT is lightly raced with decent form to her credit. She was her own worst enemy last time as she overraced in the early stages. The drop back to the mile will suit her well and she should throw out a challenge to the top choice.

OFFSIDES ran a fair race in her last start over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course. She jumped outwards at the start, but stayed on at the business end. The daughter of Silvano does not meet the strongest field and she should earn a cheque.

Race 6:

HEY BILL ran a good race when finishing second in his last start over 1800m on this course. Despite racing wide around the turn, he stayed on nicely to finish second. It must be noted that Spring Fling has come out and won again since. He is having his peak run this afternoon and should be cherry-ripe. He jumps from a good barrier position and can get back to winning ways.

COUNT MARSH had excuses in his last start when finishing 2.3 lengths behind the top choice. He won his maiden over this C&D, three runs ago. Richard Fourie takes the ride and the combination merit obvious inclusion.

PSYCHO KING'S last two starts have been decent. He continues to drop to a competitive rating and if suited to the surface, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 7:

KINGS ROAD finished 1.8 lengths behind VALIENTE last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, he should be the one to beat.

SHINNECOCK was given a peach of a ride to win his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has won three times and finished second twice from eight starts over this distance. If suited to the polytrack, he should give the top choice a run for his money.

VALIENTE showed plenty of speed last time and won with a ton in hand. If repeating that effort today, he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

Race 8:

PURPLE MERCHANT is unbeaten from two starts to date. The manner in which she drew off at the finish last time was eye-catching. The daughter of Trippi returns from a 19-week break today, during which time she would have strengthened up. She looks to have ability and if not in need of this run, she should keep her unbeaten record intact.

DIAMONDS 'N DUST is a winner of her last two starts over this C&D against the males. She is back against her own sex this afternoon and can notch up the hat-trick.

WILDLY IN LOVE was ridden to perfection when winning her last start over this C&D. She takes a drop in class today and from pole position, merits healthy respect.
