FEEL THE THUNDER'S last start can be completely ignored as he was reported to be not striding out. He produced a promising debut effort over 800m when finishing 3rd. The break may have done the son of Philanthropist well and if not in need of this outing, may be the one they all have to beat.

MERYL is one of the better bets on today's card. Despite not settling in her last start, she managed to fight off all challengers in the run down to the wire. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. Xolani Ndlovu knows her well and it is a big plus that he is riding at the top of his game. If managing to switch off early, she should notch up the hat-trick.

ROBBERG EXPRESS caught the eye when winning in his local debut on this course. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will enjoy the rise in distance today. He gets the services of a 4kg claiming apprentice this afternoon and should remain unbeaten in the Windy City.
