PHEDRA showed good speed in her last start over 1100m on this course, but was outrun late by Stolen Kiss. She was reported to have cast a shoe in running that day. The daughter of Vercingetorix won her only attempt over this C&D. She is likely to race on the speed once again and should be hard to peg back.

KHAYA’S HOPE is the best bet on the programme. He set the pace in the Sophomore Plate last time, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. He has won twice and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of The United States jumps from a good draw of two and should notch up his fifth career victory.

FIRST STREET finished 0.45 lengths behind JACOB’S LADDER last time. She is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She finished 1.6 lengths behind GRAZINGINTHEGRASS in her penultimate run and is 2kgs better off at the weights. There should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line. She has won four times and finished second once from seven starts over this C&D. Chase Maujean retains the ride and she will be mowing down the frontrunners
