RACE 1

CAPTAIN EFFICIENT ran a good race when second at a long price over this C&D in his local debut. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With just 54.5kgs on his back, he should be involved in the fight to the finish

MIRACULOUS MAN is the stable companion of the top selection. He finished 1.5 lengths behind GREY SMOKE in his penultimate run. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Richard Fourie takes the ride and the combination will be staying on at the business end.

MIDNIGHT ADVOCATOR finished 0.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the wire.

RACE 2

MOHANDAS should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in running. He drops to the 1400m which should be right up his alley. The son of Quasillo meets the right field and from his good draw of two, he can shed his maiden tag.

BRIDGERTON stayed on when fourth over 1200m on this course. The son of Visionaire tries the 1400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

DEVIL A SAINT hails from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. He ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that Hat’s Pride has come out and won again since. Bernard Fayd’Herbe takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

RACE 3

GREAT AFFAIR has been racing against stronger company since relocating to the Eastern Cape. He stayed on when third behind Bournemouth over this C&D last time. The 6yo gelding has dropped to a competitive rating and takes a drop-in class. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of nine, he can return to winning ways.

MISTER MONOCLE should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be steadied in the latter stages. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He tries the 2400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may pose a threat to the top choice

LORD NELSON‘S last two starts on this course have been fair. He won his only attempt over this C&D. His only victory came under Richard Fourie and he should be cherry-ripe.

RACE 4

CARBONADO ran a fair race against male company in her last start over 1400m on this course. She finished 0.25 lengths behind LADY MISTICO, five runs ago. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She is back against her own sex and can notch up her fifth career victory.

LADY MISTICO is a winner of her last two starts. She raced from a handy position over 1300m last time and got up late. The daughter of Master Of My Fate returns from a well-deserved 12-week break. She tries the mile and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can notch up the hat-trick.

DOUBLE CHECK ran a decent race in the Listed Jockey Club Stakes last time. She has won three times and finished third twice over this C&D. She is in a good space and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

RACE 5

GLOBAL ALLY ran a fair race over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that Rule Of Thumb has come out and won again since. He is having his first run for the Alan Greeff stable. The son of Global View continues to drop in the ratings and if settled into his new surroundings, he can win a race of this nature

EL ROMIACHI‘S last three starts have been decent. He finished 1.45 lengths behind DAWN OF A NEW ERA, three runs ago. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

DAWN OF A NEW ERA won a game race in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. With luck in running, he can follow up.

Race 6

FAIRY KNIGHT is better than his last start over 1600m on the polytrack. His penultimate run in the Listed Champion Juvenile Cup was eye-catching. The tongue-tie has been quickly removed. The son of Global View will love the return to the turf and he should return to best form.

UNDERWORLD finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

THE WINTER LAKE has run three fair races since winning his maiden. He returns from a 10-week break, during which time he was gelded. If not in need of the run, he should finish in the placings.

RACE 7

CLIFF TOP has top consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position in the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Poly Challenge 1200 last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Prince Of Fire. He has won twice and finished second once from five starts over this C&D. The son of Canford Cliffs is having his peak run today and should notch up his sixth career victory.

SILVER FALCON finished fourth in his last start after winning his previous five efforts. He returns to the Eastern Cape and if suited to this course, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

SLIM JANNIE won a good race in his last start in the Non-Black Type Speedsters Stakes. He is unbeaten from two starts on this course. He faces a competitive field, but always gives of his best and should fight out the finish.

RACE 8

POMODORO MAGIC was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this C&D. She raced from just off the pace, quickened up well and held on where it matters most. The daughter of Pomodoro received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and can follow up

LOOKING HOT was running on when 1.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

DELICASEA finished 0.25 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights. She is inconsistent but on her day, she will be involved at the finish

RACE 9

COASTAL PATH ran a good race when third over 1000m on this course last time. It must be noted that Narcos has come out and won again since. His only career victory came over this C&D and with luck in running, he can win a race of this nature.

JOYOUS JUBILEE stayed on when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

JACKSON MISISSIPPI ran a decent race when fourth over this distance on the polytrack last time. He carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and if putting his best foot forward, he can show
