SWING UPON A STAR followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1400m on this course. He set the pace, but found one too good in the form of Runaway Song. The son of Elusive Fort takes on his own age group and if seeing out the mile, he should be the horse to beat.
RACE 2: BOUNDLESS BASH (6)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: W Whitehead
BOUNDLESS BASH is lightly raced with decent form to his credit. He raced from a handy position last time and rallied late to finish second. The son of Judpot will be at home over the 1800m. He is having his peak run and with Richard Fourie retaining the ride, he can go one better.
RACE 5: PETRA (6)
Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: R Hill
PETRA has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She was reported to be coughing in her last two outings. She has won once and finished second four times from as many starts over this C&D. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and she may be rewarded for consistency.
RACE 6: THE TINKERMAN (6)
Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: V Marshall
THE TINKERMAN showed good guts when winning his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He raced on the speed and kept finding to keep all challengers at bay. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory and may still be ahead of the handicapper. S’manga Khumalo takes the ride and he can follow up.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is having his third run for the Kumaran Naidoo stable and with a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways
