PREDATOR’S FEAST should be the first raced runner past the post. She stayed on nicely at the finish on debut over this C&D. The daughter of New Predator would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement.

Race 2
ROSSLYNE hails from the visiting Robyn Klaasen yard. She ran a decent race in her last start over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course. She gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi and if all went well with her travels, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure in this line-up. She is carded to race on 13 December 2022 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
COLUMBIA ROAD showed very good improvement in her last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. She tries the 1750m for the first time and if switching off early, she should be right there at the finish.
ESCAPOLOGIST ran a fair race in her last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Linngari will be at home over the 1750m and she must be included in all bets.
Race 3
CAPTAIN ROCKET is the best bet on the programme. He produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He lost a length at the start, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of Captain Of All would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the horse to beat.
MCCARTNEY is better than his last start over 1400m as the jockey reported something to be amiss. He has finished second once and third twice from four starts over this distance. The blinkers are fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand.
REACH FORTHE STARS is an unraced son of Gimmethegreenlight from the Mike Miller stable with Serino Moodley in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Gimme The Star and Star Of Silver. If not too green, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
Race 4
LAZY GUY moved up like a winner in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Pascali. He has finished second twice and third twice from as many starts over this C&D. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and he is capable of shedding his maiden tag.
GOLD INDEX finished 1.8 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result. The son of Silvano would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement.
AXEL COLLINS has shown good improvement in his last two starts. The manner in which he finished off both those efforts suggests that he will love the extra furlong on offer. The son of The United States merits healthy respect.
Race 5
BOTZ has finished second in his last three starts, the latest of which was over 1400m on this course. He raced from a handy position last time, but found one too good in the form of Sun Blushed. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he should have no issues with the rise to 1750m. The son of William Longsword is in a good space and may be rewarded for consistency.
PARIS PIKE followed up his maiden victory with a decent second-place finish over 1950m on this course. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he was baulked for running room at the 500m mark and had to be switched. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Erupt is one of the leading contenders.
DEVILS AND DUST is a filly taking on the males. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. If 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi is able to switch her off early, she should go close to winning.
Race 6
GREAT AFFAIR was not disgraced when finishing third in the Listed Racehorse Owners Association Stakes last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes a drop in class and despite his big mass of 61kgs, he should be the one to beat.
CYBER TIME won a good race in his last start over 2300m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He set the pace and kept going well to hold all challengers at bay. The son of Futura should have no issues with the 2600m and he may be hard to peg back.
TWICE GOLDEN was an easy winner of his last start over 1950m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished 4.5 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

WOODLAND RETREAT is better than her last start in the Grade 1 Thekwini Stakes. Her penultimate run in the Grade 2 Golden Slipper catches the eye. She returns from a 20-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Pomodoro has class about her and if not in need of the run, she can return to winning ways.
I AM REGAL was in need of her stable debut over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She would have come on from the run and on previous form, she should improve.
FREESTATE STAR ran a fair race in her last start over this distance before given a 17-week break. She continues to drop in the ratings and if fit, she should run into the money.
Race 8
GUNSMOKE ran a fair race in his last start against stronger company over 1200m. He has won once and finished third once from three starts over this distance. The son of Noble Tune has dropped to a competitive rating. Ashton Arries steps back into the saddle and the combination will be mowing down the frontrunners.
HAPPY WANDERER was reported to be making an abnormal respiratory noise in his last start at Hollywoodbets Greyville and is better than the effort suggests. He finished 0.5 lengths behind QUEST FOR THE BEST in his penultimate effort. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

HATTA finished 0.65 lengths behind MEREDITH GREY last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
