Race 1

ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, moved up well but was outrun late by Diani. The son of Oasis Dream meets the right field this afternoon and can go one better.

FIRU STAR jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Without Doubt. The son of Crusade is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

COLOUR OF MONEY has improved in his last two starts with the blinkers fitted. His penultimate run when third over 1200m on the turf was encouraging. He steps up to the 1400m and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should be competitive.

Race 2

ASPOESTERTJIE may not have seen out the mile in her last start on this course. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She ran a good race when second in her penultimate run over this C&D. The daughter of Coup De Grace jumps from pole position and can shed her maiden tag.

MEREDITH GREY showed good improvement in her last start over 1200m on this course. She will strip a much fitter horse and with just 55kgs on her back, she should be one of the leading contenders.

CAPTAIN MARVEL ran a fair race in her last start over this C&D against male company. She is back against her own sex and if keeping on a straight line, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

VENTUROUS was an easy winner of her last start over 1600m on this course. She took the lead at the 350m mark, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. The drop to 1400m is no concern as she has won once and finished third twice from six starts over this C&D. From her good draw of three, she can follow up.

SPECIAL CHARM has taken on male company in both her efforts since winning her maiden. She takes a drop in class and from a good draw of two, she should throw out a big challenge.

BELL STARBUSTER raced from a handy position over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Family Favourite. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She carries another light mass of 51kgs and should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 4

AISLING has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She raced wide around the turn in her last start over 1200m, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She has dropped from a merit rating of 99 to 69 and with the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi, she should be hard to peg back.

BIRDWATCHER moved up really well over this C&D last time, but was outrun late by Kingsmeads Krystl. She has won once, finished second twice and third twice from eight starts over this C&D. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

ROYAL KITTY stayed on when third over this C&D last time. She finished 1.9 lengths behind the second choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 5

WHO‘S THAT STAR returned to form in his last start over this C&D. Despite losing two lengths leaving the starting stalls, he finished his race off strongly before getting caught in the shadow of the post. He jumps from pole position once again and in this line-up, he can notch up his second career victory.

EDWARD LONGSHANKS finished 0.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

PURPLE OPERATOR ran a fair race over 1400m on this course last time. His last victory came under S’manga Khumalo and on best form shown, he should be competitive.

Race 6

MASTER KEEKU stayed on when third over this distance on the turf last time. He won a good race in his penultimate start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The removal of the blinkers has done the trick. He has won on this surface in the past and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he may be the one to side with.

HAMPTON COURT ran a good race when second over 1000m on this course, last week Wednesday. The combination of Dennis Bosch and Muzi Yeni are in top form and cannot be ignored.

WE ALL CHOMIES has decent recent form lines to his credit. He has won once, finished second once and third twice from nine starts over this C&D. S’manga Khumalo takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 7

EVENTIDOR was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1900m on this course. That was his first start with the blinkers fitted. The son of Elusive Fort was given a four-pound penalty for that victory and if this run has not come too soon, he can follow up.

BANZAI PIPELINE ran a fair race over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He will enjoy the step up to 2000m and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

SONJADOR has shown signs of a form return in his last two starts. He is a better horse on the turf, but he is capable of running into the first three in this line-up.

Race 8

TRUMP MY QUEEN finished 0.4 lengths behind MARIA COROLINA last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has dropped to a competitive rating and can notch up her second career victory.

MARIA COROLINA has produced two good runs since returning from a 33-week break. She has won three times and finished second twice from eight starts over this distance. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run today and will be cherry- ripe.

BELL JAR stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. Her penultimate run when finishing second under Keagan de Melo was encouraging. She jumps from pole position and merits obvious inclusion
