Race 2
AERIAL VIEW showed some improvement when finishing two lengths behind the winner over 1400m on this course last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the step up to the mile. The daughter of Soft Falling Rain looks to be progressive and she may be the one to side with in this line-up.
TEMPELHOFF has shown good improvement in her last two starts after returning from a 15-week break. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Silvano. She should be cherry-ripe this afternoon and will go close to winning.
GLOBAL SECRET ran a fair race when finishing fifth against males last time. She was her own worst enemy that day as she overraced in the early stages. The daughter of Global View will enjoy the drop back to the mile and back against her own sex, she should be competitive.
Race 3
SYX HOTFIX ran a good race when finishing third over 1900m on this course last time. He was reported to be cut into that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. The son of Flower Alley will enjoy the extra distance on offer and jumps from a good draw of two. Anton Marcus retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
TRITON was a tad disappointing in his last start on the Polytrack. His penultimate run when finishing second over 1600m on this course catches the eye. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
STATEOFUSA finished 1.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms this afternoon and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 4
TOP ME UP HOLLY was an impressive winner of her last start over 1800m on this course. She set the pace and found another kick where it matters most. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Rachel Venniker which will help her cause. From pole position, she can notch up her fifth career victory.
ALL AGLOW ran a decent race in her last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She is having her peak run this afternoon and should be cherry-ripe. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and she merits healthy respect.
SILVER MARIA won a good race in her last start over 2200m on this course. She received the minimum two-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Silvano is in a good space and must be included in all bets.
Race 5
LOVE BOMB ran a decent race when finishing fourth in the Grade 3 Flamboyant Stakes last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Oratorio is the best weighted runner in this contest and she can return to winning ways.
TARANTINO has good consistent form lines to his credit. He stayed on nicely to finish fourth in his last start over this C&D. S’manga Khumalo takes the ride and he should pose a massive threat to the top choice.
KAROO LARK showed good signs of a form return when finishing second over this C&D last time. He has won twice and finished second three times from seven starts over this distance. The 5yo gelding should be cherry- ripe and must be included in all bets.
Race 6
ALITTLEBITNAUGHTY was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade won her only attempt over this distance. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she can follow up.
LET’S NOT LINGER won a good race in her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. She takes a slight rise in class, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand. She does have a wide draw to overcome but gets the services of S’manga Khumalo who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
MISS GIBSON got up where it matters most to win her maiden at the second time of asking. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but she is lightly raced and has plenty of scope.
Race 7
GIMME A RAINBOW was doing his best work late to finish third over this C&D last time. He has won twice, finished second three times and third twice from eleven starts over this distance. He jumps from a good draw and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should return to winning ways.
PURPLE POWAHOUSE showed good signs of a form return last time. He finished 0.7 lengths behind the top choice that day. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
CAPTAIN WHO ran a good race when finishing second over this C&D last time. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this distance. His wide draw of twelve is a concern, but he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 8
PRINCESS DONELLY was an easy winner in his last start over 1000m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Judpot takes a drop in class and can follow up from her good draw of four.
