Race 5
PIRATE PRINCE ran on well when second over 1800m on this course last time. The son of Master Of My Fate should love the rise to 2200m. Muzi Yeni takes the ride and the 4yo gelding can notch up his fourth career victory.
EL REY VIENE finished 0.9 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of S’manga Khumalo who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
ARVERNI KING was unlucky not to have won his last start over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has finished second twice and third twice from six starts on this course. Richard Fourie takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

PRINCESS OZMA ran a fair race against male company in her last start on the polytrack. She finished 3.25 lengths behind FASHIONIGMA in her penultimate run. She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. This is her peak run and from her handy draw of four, she can return to winning ways.
FASHIONIGMA stayed on when fifth over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has dropped to a competitive rating and with the services of Richard Fourie, she should pose a threat.
BLAZING ASTUTE ran on strongly when winning her last start over 2000m on the polytrack. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. If jumping on terms, she can follow up.
Race 7
LET THE FLAG FLY raced from a handy position over 1600m on the polytrack last time and stayed on to finish fourth. The son of Flying The Flag has ability and if putting his best foot forward, he should fight out the finish.
KUPHOLIWE is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He returns from an 11-week break, during which time he was gelded. If not in need of the run, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
MISS ARLBERG won a good race when shedding her maiden tag over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 8
BUSTER KEATON was running on when second over 1400m on this course last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. He has cracked a good draw of three and can go one better.
WINTER WAVES finished 2.95 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. The 6yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line.
PURPLE POWAHOUSE is better than his last start over this distance on the polytrack. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and on best form shown, he can notch up his fifth career victory
