EXPLOSIVE BEAUTY is a filly taking on the boys, but she ran on nicely on debut over six furlongs at this venue and could be looking for this greater test in stamina. She understandably raced green that day, but would have learnt from the experience. It is encouraging that Warren Kennedy has kept faith in her.

MR FITZ returns from a 10-week break. He is seldom far off the winner over various distances and will be hoping to have that consistency rewarded here. He has a wide draw to beat, but a repeat of his penultimate run over this distance should see him in the winner's box.

BABY SHOOZ has his second run after a rest. He ran on strongly from a poor draw in a feature race on Durban July day and a repeat of that effort would make him a big runner here. The mile trip may be just what he is looking for.
