Race 1

ISN’T SHE BONNY produced two very good efforts before given a 22-week break. She should have won her last outing as she hung in the closing stages. The daughter of Querari would have strengthened up during her time off the track. She tries the Polytrack for the first time and if suited, she should be too good for this field.

COUNTY KILDARE has decent recent form lines to her credit. She has finished second once and third twice from six starts over this C&D. The 5yo mare is one of the leading contenders.

KYNISKA finished 0.7 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 2

BOOGIE SHOES has found a new lease on life since stepping up to 1800m and beyond. Despite having to be steadied at the 350m mark last time, the manner in which she quickened up and drew clear in the closing stages was eye-catching. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the step up to 2000m and she can notch up the hat-trick under Cole Dicken.

QUE FOR YOU set the pace over 1800m last time and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and may be hard to peg back.

BELL JAR finished 1.85 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

Race 3

KITTYBOYS GIRL should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had no luck in running. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. The daughter of Admiral Kitten will strip a much fitter horse today. The blinkers have been removed and with Rachel Venniker taking the ride, she can shed her maiden tag.

JOLLIFICATION showed good improvement in her last start over this C&D. She flyjumped leaving the start, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Jackson is a progressive type and should have more to come.

ROWINS DREAM finished 0.05 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 4

LADY MACBETH finished 0.05 lengths behind PRINCESS JO last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She takes a drop in class and can return to winning ways.

PRINCESS JO has been doing her best work late in her last two starts. The daughter of Global View will love the rise to the mile. She has plenty of scope and is one of the leading contenders.

FEELING GROOVY ran a fair race against slightly stronger last time. She won a good race in her penultimate effort over this C&D. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

Race 5

TOM’S ACT ran a fair race in his last start over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. His penultimate run when fourth against stronger company over 1600m on this course, was encouraging. He has won twice and finished third once from eight starts on this course. He does have an awkward draw of nine to overcome, but Muzi Yeni knows him well and will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

LOU LOU THE LEGEND should have finished closer to the winner over this C&D last time as he hung in the closing stages. The son of Ideal World is having his peak run and will be cherry-ripe. Keagan de Melo steps back into the saddle and the pair merit healthy respect.

RAVENS SWORD set the pace in his last start over 1600m and fought back well to notch up his second career victory. He received a two-pound penalty for that victory and can follow up.

Race 6

RULERSHIP has been ultra-impressive in his last two victories over this distance. He raced from just off the pace on the turf last time, quickened up well and drew clear of the opposition. He does face his toughest test to date, but looks to have class about him and can notch up the hat-trick.

GOLIATH HERON has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this C&D. If all went well with his travels, he should throw out a challenge to the top choice.

IT’S ABOUT TIME returns from a 25-week break and is having his first run for the Louis Goosen stable. The son of Oratorio has class about him and if not in need of the run, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 7

PHAKA IMALI showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1600m on this course. He lost a length leaving the start, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Ravens Sword. The 1400m will be right up his alley and the son of Var can go one better.

HALLERBOS has decent recent form lines to his credit. He has won once and finished second three times from seven starts over this C&D. Keagan de Melo does duty and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

QUIZ MASTER has finished third in his last two starts over this C&D. He jumps from a good draw of two and will be staying on at the business end.

Race 8

PATRONAGE has some decent recent form lines over this distance. He has won four times, finished second once and third twice from 12 starts over this C&D. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back once again and he can return to winning ways.

RALPH THE RASCAL ran on well when second over this C&D last time. Three of his four career victories have come over this C&D. The main concern is the widest draw but with luck in running, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

DESOLATE ROAD was touched off by Camora last time. He finished 2.85 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around
