wf.logoWinning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday 23rd October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

LADY OF VIX produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She showed good speed and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that Icy Lancaster has come out and won again since. She would have strengthened up during her time off the track. Mathew Thackeray is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.

DIYARANI returns from a lengthy 25-week break. She cost herself leaving the start last time but her debut effort over 1200m on the turf, catches the eye. If jumping on terms, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

FEEL THE WIND ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. If fit and well, she should be competitive.

Race 2

MO KING‘S last start is best ignored as he was reported to be not striding out post-race. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. His best form has been over this C&D and from his good draw of three, he can shed his maiden tag.

GOOD LIVING has decent form lines to his credit. He has been gelded since his last outing which may have done the trick. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should pose a massive threat.

CAPPELLINO finished 2.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

This is a weak Maiden Plate for the girls and the betting market will be the best guide with regards to the first timers. MOCHA BLEND is an unraced daughter of Ideal World from the Frank Robinson stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. She is related to five-time winner Barahin. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note.

MERITORIOUS is a daughter of Ideal World from the Dean Kannemeyer yard with Craig Zackey doing duty. She is related to multiple winners and if not too green, she should give a good account of herself.

DEE DAY may be the first raced runner past the post. She has fair consistent form lines to her name. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in her last outing has come out and won since. She is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

Race 4

PRINCE FLORIAN caught the eye when fifth on debut over 1400m on the turf. He lost two lengths leaving the start, understandably raced green but finished off his race well. The son of What A Winter would have come on from the run and if suited to the polytrack, he can improve to win this.

MAGMA MAGIC has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He tries the polytrack for the first time and if suited to the surface, he should pose a massive threat.

BRAVE BOMBER showed good improvement in his last start over 1900m on this course. The son of Lancaster Bomber is a progressive type and from pole position, he should be right there.

Race 5

L’ULTIMO won a good race over 1400m on this course last time. He raced from a handy position and showed guts all the way to the line. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of The United States meets a similar line-up this afternoon and he can follow up.

ONE IRISH ROVER finished 1.6 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

FOREST JUMP stayed on when third over this C&D last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Tristan Godden retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 6

MISS PAGET had to overcome the widest draw over this C&D last time and stayed on at the finish. She has won twice and finished second once from six starts over this C&D. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has cracked a good draw of four and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

GRAPE SHOT ran a fair race over 1200m on the turf last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Fire Away takes a drop in class and with luck in running, she should be competitive.

THE GHOST was an easy winner of her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Danon Platina takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 7

GINGER DELIGHT stayed on when third over 1600m at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is having her first run for the Dean Kannemeyer stable. She is a filly with scope and if not in need of the run, she may be the one to beat.

BEAUTIFUL RANIA should have finished closer last time as she hung in the final 350m. She takes a drop in class and from pole position, is one of the leading contenders.

PERFECT TRUST‘S last two starts have been fair. She carries a light mass of 49.5kgs which should assist her cause. On best form shown, she would not be a shock winner
