Race 1

He jumps from a good draw of two and can shed his maiden tag in this field.
DYNALLEY was a tad disappointing in his last start. His debut effort when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was encouraging. He has plenty of scope and cannot be ignored.
SCAMPTON stayed on when third over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He is having his first run for the Glen Kotzen stable and if settled into his new surroundings, he should be competitive.
Race 2
GREENLIGHT LEGEND stayed on when fourth over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and Gavin Lerena may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
MISS PAGET finished 2.1 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
LADY SUGAR PLUMB is an unraced daughter of Potala Palace from the Gareth van Zyl stable with Athandiwe Mgudlwa in the saddle. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.
Race 3
LADY GREENSLEEVES showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She set the pace that day, but was outrun late. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is having her peak run today and she should give the males a run for their money.
OSHAKATI has decent consistent form lines to his credit. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the closing stages. He has cracked a good draw of two and will be doing his best work at the finish.
SIR WILLIAM ran a fair race in his local debut over this C&D. He raced wide around the turn and understandably lacked a finish in the straight. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He will strip a much fitter horse today and with luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 4
This is a competitive Merit Rated 74 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is ALL THE TIME from the Yogas Govender stable. He stayed on when third over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that Moya Wa LaLiga has come out and won again since. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from seven starts on this course. Gavin Lerena takes the ride and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
JOSHUA HOTSNAKE fought hard for his last victory over this distance on the polytrack. He finished 0.95 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
TIME TOGETHER finished 1.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 5
ANGELIC FORT ran on well when second in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Elusive Fort has dropped to a competitive rating and from her good draw of two, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
SHELL SEEKER finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.
MISS LIALAH stayed on when fourth in her last start over 1600m on the polytrack. She finished third in her only attempt on this course. Both her career victories have come over this distance and she cannot be ignored.
Race 6
FAIRY TRIPP has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She lost a length leaving the start last time, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Trippi will love the rise to 1600m. She is back on the turf and if jumping on terms, she should be the one to beat.
VERMACILLI raced from a handy position over 1400m last time, but found one too good in the form of Winter Frolic. The cheekpieces seem to have done the trick and Gavin Lerena may be able to get the best out of her.
DAME MAZONA showed some improvement in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Querari steps up to the mile and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she may have more to come.
Race 7
FAIZAH followed up her maiden win with a fair sixth-place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She returns from an 11-week break which may have done her the world of good. The daughter of Querari has plenty of scope and drops in class. With a bit of luck in running, she can go close to winning.
CRAZY BLUES won a game race in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She raced from a handy position and kept finding all the way to the line. She jumps from a handy draw of five and can follow up.
SPRING KISS raced from a handy position over this distance last time, but found one too good in the form of Gardenia. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She is still lightly raced and if fit, she should be competitive.
Race 8
CATCH THE TUNE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He took the lead at the 1000m mark last time, but was outrun late. The son of Noble Tune would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He is likely to race on the speed from his good draw of two and may be hard to peg back.
EVENTIDOR ran on well when second in his comeback run over 2000m on the polytrack. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this distance. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
BLAZING LIGHT finished 0.15 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line
