Race 1

TELIO has improved in her last three starts over 1400m. She stayed on nicely at the finish last time, but found one too good in the form of Umhlali. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Twice Over will love the rise to the mile and with a bit of luck from her wide draw of ten, she can go one better.

VALERIAS DREAM finished 1.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. The daughter of Querari is a progressive type and she may have more to come.

BLAZING KISS has shown improvement in each of her outings to date. She raced from a handy position last time and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Blaze Of Fire jumps from a handy draw of five and can run into the money.

Race 2

AREA FIFTY ONE ran a good race when third in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She was reported to have bled that day and returns from her suspension. She has won once, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. If not in need of the run, she can return to winning ways.

IMBEWU returns from a 16-week break and is having her first run for the Michael Roberts stable. She is better than her last start suggests. On best form shown, she should be one of the leading contenders.

WINTER’S DESTINY held on where it matters most when winning her last start over 1400m on the Polytrack. She takes a rise in class, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 3

MAJESTIC WARRIOR ran a good race when third in his last start over 1600m on this course. He raced from a handy position and stayed on nicely at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to 1900m. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time and if the headgear has the desired effect, he should be the one to beat.

JOHNNY’S HOPE is better than his last start over 1700m on the Polytrack. He may be a better horse on the turf and with a bit of luck from his wide draw of eleven, he should throw out a challenge to the top choice.

BLAZING LIGHT finished 1.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around. He has finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this distance.

Race 4

ELECTRIC SURGE finished 0.45 lengths behind MEL’S PRINCESS last time. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She jumps from pole position and on best form shown, she should return to winning ways.

MEL’S PRINCESS is better than her last start over 1600m. Her penultimate run when finishing second over this C&D was encouraging. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CHELSEA FLOWER finished 0.25 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 3kgs worse off at the weights today and should battle to turn the form around. With a bit of luck in running, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 5

PAPA C was an easy winner of his last start over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He was reported to have cast a shoe in running that day which makes the victory that much more encouraging. The cheekpieces have done the trick on the son of Master Of My Fate and against similar company, he can follow up.

CYBER TIME ran a fair race over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Sea Master has come out and won again since. He finished 2.1 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate effort. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

EXCEEDER moved up like a winner last time, but was outrun late by Banzai Pipeline. The son of Elusive Fort will enjoy the step up in distance. He does have a wide draw of twelve to overcome, but gets the services of Keagan de Melo who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 6

MANHATTEN CAFE has won his last two starts well, the latest of which was over 1600m on the Polytrack. He received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Ashaawes steps back up to the 1800m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can notch up the hat-trick.

QUEUE WING finished 3.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the wire. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1800m.

WITH PLEASURE ran on well when second over 2300m last time. It must be noted that Sea Master has come out and won again since. He has finished third twice from as many starts over this distance. He is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 7

FULL BLAST ran a decent race in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Captain Of All has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Captain Of All takes a drop in class and he can return to winning ways.

EDDIE THE MOVER followed up his maiden victory with a good win over this C&D. The son of Vercingetorix takes a rise in class, but he carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and can notch up the hat-trick.

IDEAL ACT showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1200m on this course. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from seven starts over this distance. From his good draw of two, he merits healthy respect.

Race 8

This is a competitive Merit Rated 76 Handicap for the girls and caution is advised. MVULAZANA from the Wendy Whitehead yard is the narrow first selection. She ran a good race when third over 1200m on the Polytrack last time. She has won once and finished second once from three starts on this course. The daughter of Soft Falling Rain will strip a much fitter horse today and she will be mowing down the frontrunners.

LADY SERENA was running on when second over 1600m on this course last time. She has finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can go one better.

AISLING won a good race in her last start over 1200m on the Polytrack. The manner in which she quickened up and drew off was encouraging. She is in a good space and can follow up
