Race 1

AUSSENKEHR showed good speed in his last start over this C&D, but was caught late by King Regent. He is progressing all the time and in this line-up, he can go one better.

GIMME’S LADDIE finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He will be at peak fitness for this outing and is one of the leading contenders.

SAN PEDRO is an unraced son of Vercingetorix from the Vaughan Marshall stable with Corne Orffer in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Flying First Class and Padre Pio. If not too green, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

Race 2

GIMME DAT is better than her last two starts at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She returns from a 24-week break which would have done her the world of good. She is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Justin Snaith is no stranger to bringing his horses back to the races fit for their return and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

DANCETILDAYLIGHT finished 0.4 lengths behind WHOA WHOA WHOA last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

WHOA WHOA WHOA stayed on when finishing fourth in her comeback run over 1100m on this course. She has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. She will strip a much fitter horse today and merits healthy respect.

Race 3

CAPTAIN’S RANSOM showed incredible guts and determination when winning the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint last time. She returns from a well-deserved 16-week break, which would have done her the world of good. She has won six times and finished second once from as many starts on this course. The daughter of Captain Al has bigger plans this season, but she has the class to win.

WATERBERRY LANE ran a fair race in his comeback run over 1100m. He has won four times and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. He would have come on from the run and with Keagan de Melo back in the saddle, he is one of the leading contenders.

DO IT AGAIN is making his seasonal debut after a creditable effort in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July. This trip may be on the sharp side and he will come on from the run. He has the class to finish in the placings.

Race 4

NARINA TROGON was slow into stride over 1200m last time, settled at the rear of the field and finished off his race strongly. The son of Silvano will love the rise to the mile and he will be cherry-ripe. He does have a wide draw of twelve to overcome, but gets the services of Aldo Domeyer who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

BLACKBERRY MALT finished 0.4 lengths behind INNAMORARE last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

INNAMORARE was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He won his maiden over 1400m on this course. He is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field from his wide draw of thirteen and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 5

GOLD POKER GAME followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to the mile. She has plenty of scope and from her good draw of three, she may be the one to beat.

METAR was unlucky not to have won her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. If jumping on terms, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

UMVOTI moved up like a winner over this distance last time, but was caught late by Call It Fate. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, she can go one better.

Race 6

CALL IT FATE was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She received a one-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Master Of My Fate meets a similar type of field today and she can follow up.

RAISING QUINN ran a good race when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. She was slow into stride, but stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of Querari will strip a much fitter horse today and she will be competitive.

CRUIZIN CALIFORNIA finished 1.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

Race 7

THE FUTURIST finished 1.25 lengths behind I WANT IT ALL last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished third once from five starts on this course. He tries the 1950m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should notch up his fourth career victory. GALACTIC PATH finished 1.75 lengths behind I WANT IT ALL in the race referred to above. He is also 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. From pole position, he merits healthy respect.

I WANT IT ALL won a good race in his last start over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He has won once, finished second once and third twice from six starts on this course. He should have no issues with the extra distance on offer and merits healthy respect.

Race 8

APOLLO MOON finished 0.4 lengths behind COUNTRY TIME last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today which should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of What A Winter is having her peak run and should be cherry-ripe. Jabu Jacobs retains the ride and the pair may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

CAMILLE CLAUDEL finished 1.65 lengths behind COUNTRY TIME in the race referred to above. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. She will strip a much fitter horse and is one of the leading contenders.

COUNTRY TIME followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. She showed good pace, but found one too good in the form of Hunting Trip. The daughter of Time Thief may be hard to peg back
