Race 1

PRINCESS OZMA was an impressive winner on debut over this C&D. She received a bump at the start, but the manner in which she finished off her race was eye-catching. The daughter of Futura would have gained from the experience and she looks to be above average. Donovan Dillon retains the ride and she can remain unbeaten.

LITTLE MISS KJ finished 1.05 lengths behind EAU DE VIE on debut. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Crusade should make the natural improvement.

EAU DE VIE won a good race on debut over 1100m on this course. She quickened up well, took the lead at the 250m mark and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of Twice Over has plenty of scope and merits obvious inclusion.

Race 2

GLADATORIAN produced a promising debut effort over 1100m on this course. He showed good pace, raced green but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. He found plenty of betting support that day which suggests that he was showing good work at home. It must be noted that the horse that finished third has come out and won since. The son of Vercingetorix would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement.

SUNDANCE KID dead-heated for first on debut over 1000m. He lost a length at the start and finished his race off strongly. If keeping on a straight line, he should pose a massive threat.

ROYAL SOVEREIGN got up where it matters most to win on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He would have strengthened up during his time off the track. If fit, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

WINTER JOURNEY is still a maiden after twelve starts, but has finished second in her last three outings. She showed good speed against male company last time, but was outrun late by Guy Fox. She has finished second once and third once from three starts on this course. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and she may be hard to peg back.

LADIES DAY has decent recent form lines to her credit. She has finished second three times and third three times from as many starts over this distance. Anton Marcus takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

COUNTY KILDARE produced a decent debut effort over this distance on the Polytrack. The daughter of Crusade would have come on with the run and if suited to the turf, she should make the natural improvement.

Race 4

FEARLESS KITTY has finished second in her last four starts. She stayed on nicely at the finish over 1750m last time, but found one too good in the form of Victory Vision. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which may do the trick. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade can shed her maiden tag.

GREEN SLEEVES’ last three starts have been fair. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last start has come out and won since. If jumping on terms, she should be one of the leading contenders.

ALABAMA SKY is the stable companion of the second choice. She showed good improvement in her last start over 1400m on this course. If confirming that effort this afternoon, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 5

TWICETHEQUALITY was a tad disappointing in her last start on the polytrack. Her form prior to that outing was good. She has won once and finished third once from four starts over this distance. She takes a drop in class this afternoon and with 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Kaidan Brewer in the saddle, she can return to winning ways.

CONCHITA has fair recent form lines to her credit. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She finished 1.9 lengths behind LUCKY MISS in her penultimate run. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

PRINCESS ANASTASIA is having her first run for the Gareth van Zyl stable. The change of environment may have done her the world of good and on best form shown, she should fight out the finish.

Race 6

FINDING FREEDOM ran a good race when finishing third over 1200m on this course last time. She showed good speed that day, but was outrun in the latter stages. The daughter of Elusive Fort is the best-weighted runner in this contest thanks to 4kgs claiming apprentice Mfanelo Zuma.

DANDOLO produced a decent comeback run over 1400m on the Polytrack last time. He would have come on from that run and will strip much fitter. 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Cole Dicken retains the ride and he can show.

SIR POM finished 0.25 lengths behind EDGARTOWN last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 7

GLORY DAYS should have won her last start over this C&D. She moved up menacingly, but was caught in the shadow of the post by subsequent winner Time To Roll. She has won once and finished second twice from five starts on this course. She races in the same class this afternoon and with 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Rachel Venniker in the saddle, she should be hard to beat.

MOUNT LAUREL finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.

LYRICAL DANCE returns from a 12-week break which may have done her the world of good. She is having her first run on this course. Anton Marcus takes the ride on her return and on best form shown, she should be competitive.

Race 8

ANGEL OF JUSTICE was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1700m on the Polytrack. She raced from a handy position, moved up and fought hard all the way to the line. She meets a similar type of field this afternoon and with 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Gabriel Pieterse retaining the ride, she can follow up. GRUE OF ICE ran a good race when finishing third over 1400m on this course, four weeks ago. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1950m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CHELSEA FLOWER ran a decent race when finishing third over 1900m on the Polytrack last time. She lost a length at the start, but ran on nicely at the finish. If suited to this track, she should run a big race.

Race 9

MVULAZANA followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She moved up like a winner, but was outrun in the latter stages. She returns from a 13-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She should have no issues with the 1400m and if fit, she may be the one to beat.

LADY SERENA’S last two starts have been good. She lost two lengths at the start last time, but stayed on nicely at the finish. She is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

DESERT ROSE was an easy winner on debut over this C&D. She lost a length at the start, but quickened up well and drew clear of the opposition. The daughter of Futura takes on stronger, but she could be anything and may be up to the task at hand
