Race 1

THAT‘S MY BABY followed up her maiden victory with a decent fourth-place finish in the Non-Black Type Winter Juvenile Stakes. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Master Of My Fate should have no issues with the drop to 1200m and if all went well with her travels, she may be the one to beat.

SHE CAN ran a good race when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. She ran on well that day, but was touched off by Platina Princess. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

KNOCKOUT showed good speed when winning her last start over this C&D. The daughter of Danon Platina takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand

Race 2

GIVERS GRACE lost a length leaving the start over 1200m on the polytrack last time, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Hat Puntano should be suited to the mile and on her peak run, she can return to winning ways.

WOODLAND GLADE hails from the visiting Mike de Kock stable. Her pilot dropped his crop in her last start which may have cost her finishing closer to the winner. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. With luck in running, she can go close to winning.

LET‘S GO NOW was an easy winner of her last start over this distance at the Vaal. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 3

LADY CANTON ran a good race when second over 1500m on this course last time. Despite taking a keen hold in the early stages, the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Canford Cliffs steps up to 1950m and if Muzi Yeni is able to switch her off early, she can go one better.

THREE LITTLE BIRDS showed good improvement in her last start over 1600m on the polytrack. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Gold Standard. She will love the rise to 1950m and may have more to come.

TRIP TO NEBRASKA finished 3.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 4

TROIS TROIS QUATRE ran a good race in his comeback run over 1400m on the polytrack. He raced from a handy position and stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Rafeef will enjoy the step up to 1950m and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck from his wide draw of ten, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

DUKE OF AFRICA lost his last start in the boardroom as he shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is a winner without a penalty and if keeping on a straight line, he should be competitive.

VENERABLE ran a good race when third over 1750m on this course last time. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1950m. He has cracked a good draw of two and should be right there.

Race 5

ARVERNI KING moved up like a winner over 2400m last time, but was outrun late by Rockie Reef. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from seven starts on this course. He has another wide draw to overcome, but S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and he should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

ROCK FALL finished 1.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. Keagan de Melo takes the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

PROFESSOR SNAPE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 2600m. The blinkers have been removed and he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 6

COIN SPINNER finished 0.65 lengths behind BEECHAMWOOD BOY last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck in running, he should notch up his sixth career victory.

BEECHAMWOOD BOY should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was switched for running room at the 150m mark. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from six starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ENSUING was running on when third in the Non-Black Type SABC Sport Durban Dash. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He won his penultimate start over this C&D and merits healthy respect.

Race 7

DANDOLO won a good race in his last start over 1200m on the polytrack. He raced from a handy position, quickened up well and won easier than the official margin suggests. He has won twice and finished second once from five starts over this distance. He is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

PRINCEKRESH has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has won four times, finished second twice and third once from ten starts over this C&D. Apprentice Trent Mayhew takes the 4kgs off his back and he may be hard to peg back.

STANLEY PARK has finished third in his last three starts. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. The son of Oratorio tries the blinkers for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

Race 8

FORMAGEAR finished 0.4 lengths behind CHEEKY LADDIE last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but is versatile and he can go one better.

CHEEKY LADDIE ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1400m on this course. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the rise to 1500m. He jumps from a good draw of two and merits healthy respect.

FATEFUL DAY was unlucky not to have won his last start over 1200m as he had to be switched at the 100m mark. He will enjoy the step up to 1500m and with a bit of luck in running, he should be competitive
