PYROMANIAC was ridden to perfection when winning on debut over 1160m at Turffontein. He was slow into stride that day, but got up where it matters most. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Silvano would have come on from the run and should keep his unbeaten record intact.

Race 4: SHE’S A CRACKER (6)

Jockey: V.Rensburg M – Trainer: Sage R

SHE’S A CRACKER won a good race in the Listed Spook Express Handicap last time. She set the pace and found extra where it matters most. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She won her only attempt over this C&D and should be the one to beat here.

SENESCENCE has top recent form lines to her credit. She finished 1.15 lengths behind LEAGUE OF HER OWN last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. She is carded to race on 13 May 2021 and her progress in that race will need to be checked.
