ANCIENT SPIRIT returns to the Highveld after spending the winter in KZN. She has pulled pole position and a repeat of her penultimate effort over seven furlongs at Hollywoodbets Greyville would see her involved in the finish here. Her latest win over six furlongs on the poly was encouraging.

MYTHICAL BOLT returns from a 12 week rest, but he should give a good account of himself here. He returns to the Highveld after narrowly failing to win a feature race over six furlongs on the poly last time out.

ILHA DA VAR showed pace in her last outing, but failed to go on with her effort. She had the blinkers fitted for the first time that day, but these have been quickly removed. She gets 2.5kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming appie who has his only ride on the day here. She should be right up there when they reach the line.
