It is positive that in-form Lyle Hewitson steps into the saddle.

SENESCENCE has finished runner-up in both her starts to date. She raced from a handy position in her last start, but found one too good in the form of Cloth Of Ice. The manner in which she races suggests that she will enjoy the extra furlong on offer today. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle today and the combination should find themselves in the winner's enclosure.

BATTLEOFTRAFALGAR has shown in his last two starts that the gelding is what he was looking for. He won a good race over the minimum trip on the Classic course last time. He should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.

MARSHALL cost himself winning last time as he shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. He drops to the six furlongs for the first time this afternoon, but he gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should help him keep his mind on the task at hand. His trainer is no stranger to getting his horses fit for their return and the son of Vercingetorix may be the one they all have to beat.

PALACE ASSEMBLY is much better than his last start suggests. He was travelling well in the race last time before taking an awkward stride at the 150m mark. He produced some good form prior to that and with a bit of luck in running, he should be the one to cause the upset.
