Race 1 

BUFFALO STORM CODY was super-impressive when winning on debut over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. He did not get off to a clean start, but showed pace and won with a ton in hand. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody would have come on from the run and he should remain unbeaten.

KING OF KILDARE showed good speed when winning on debut over 800m at Turffontein. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He would have strengthened up during his time off the track and is one of the leading contenders.

CYMRIC has finished second in both his efforts to date. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last outing has come out and won since. The son of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and merits healthy respect.

Race 2

GOLDEN CHANDELIER followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Despite carrying top weight, she should notch up the hat-trick.

PEACE OF MIND has finished second in her last three starts. She stayed on at the finish over 1200m last time, but found one too good in the form of Miss Scaletta. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

FORCE EIGHT is better than her last start in the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Ruffian Stakes. She was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this distance on the Classic course. If putting her best foot forward, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

JUST BE LEKKER should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the final 300m. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The daughter of William Longsword won her only attempt over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, she can notch up her third-career victory.

WHAT A HONEY’S last start can be ignored as she was reported to be not striding out. She returns from an 11-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has won twice, finished second once and third twice from six starts over this C&D. The daughter of What A Winter must be included in all bets.

LEAVING LAS VEGAS is better than her last three starts. She finished third in her only attempt over this distance. The 11-week break may have been what she needed and she should improve.

Race 4

MIA FIORE tried hard when third in her last start over 1400m on this course. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she should be the one to beat.

ALESIA’S LOVE finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

QUICK TRIP showed good speed when winning her maiden over 1160m at Turffontein last time. She has finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. The daughter of Trippi takes on stronger but she should be up to the task at hand.

Race 5

POORLITTLERICHGIRL set the pace over 2000m at Turffontein last time, but was caught late by Viva Brazil. She has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. The daughter of Dynasty is in a good space and should give the males a run for their money once again.

WILLOW’S WISH finished 2.65 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights which is not enough for the tables to be turned. He finished 0.75 lengths behind TWIN TURBO in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around.

TWIN TURBO is better than his last start over this distance at Turffontein. He has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this C&D. On his best form shown, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 6

BARBARESCO was his own worst enemy in the Grade 1 TAB SA Classic last time. He was ultra-impressive when winning his penultimate start over 1600m at Turffontein. He finished second in his only attempt over this distance. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and he should take a power of beating.

LADY FALLON took the lead at the 200m mark last time, but found one too good in the form of Frances Ethel who has come out and won again since. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

WYZEACT showed good guts when winning his last start over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville Polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is in a good space and cannot be ignored.

Race 7

SIMPLY MAGIC is better than her last start over 1200m on this course. Her penultimate run when fifth over 1160m at Turffontein was encouraging. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will enjoy the rise to 1400m. The daughter of Silvano has dropped to a competitive rating and she may be the one to cause the upset.

CERULEAN DANCER should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had to be eased at the 350m mark. She is holding her form nicely and merits obvious inclusion.

DELLA’S SWORD finished 0.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

Race 8

This is a competitive Merit Rated 80 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is NORDIC REBEL from the Erico Verdonese stable. He stayed on when fifth over 1500m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and he should be involved at the finish.

BOB’S YOUR UNCLE set the pace over this C&D last time but was outrun late. He finished 1 length behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

WILLOW EXPRESS was a tad disappointing over 1600m last time. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from ten starts over this distance. Serino Moodley is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most
