Some decent racing today with some nice sorts having preps for KZN Season

Greyville
Race 3 - Fiery Filly @ 8/1
Looked good stepping up last time when stepping up to the 1400m, now stepping up again. Well bred and half sister to Shango and Master & Commander. On breeding ahould be looking for this trip as a minimum

Kenilworth
Race 1 - Red Moon Rising @ 20/1 & Eternal Optimist @ 25/1
RMR - Based on Stable comments. Shortend nicely
Eternal Optimist - Nicely bred and siblings all showed early pace.

Race 2 - Lord Fyfield @ 8/1 & Touchdown @ 25/1
Lord Fyfield - Decent last run and gets good draw compared to last run
Touchdown - Half brother to Linebacker. Worth a shot at this price

Race 3 - Kelp Forest @ 8/1
Good last run and holds a few

Race 6 - Speed Machine @ 16/1
Runs well in softer

Enjoy the racing

Some nice racing tomorrow in KZN and the big boys coming out to play.

Race 1 - Lebenase Pound @ 20/1
I remember from previous run he is super quick and then normally fades. Gets services of Bling up, worth a shot at that price.

Race 2 - Morning Chess @ 15/1
Will say from the start heavily weighted to places. Fav looks pretty decent on 1st run, and was finishing well.
I remember the Dame for Morning Chess been quick early and if my memory serves me right was trained by the Alec Laird yard. Jock doesnt have the worse record with the stable and definitely worth a shout,.

Race 5 - Fairy Tripp @ 6/1
Extremely well bred and half brother is quick. I normally find Trippi's are quite forward and been a filly with the extra 2.5kg off, hoping will fly and with tail wind leave the rest chasing. (Sorry see weather changed from last night to headwind, well hopefully can hold on.)

Race 6 - Silvano's Dasher @ 14/1 & Battle Force @ 66/1
Had some excellent runs over distance. Holds Trip of Fortune on previous run. But think this is very open and have 10 of them in Pick 6 and still not confident will go through.
Excellent run last time behind Quasiforsure. Finished just behind Silver Operator and is much bigger price.

Race 8 - Anfields Rocket @ 14/1
I know Charles worthy fav, but just think this one drawn well, and with short run in, will be flying and use its turn of pace from just off the pace.

Enjoy the racing, will post more in the morning.

Thanks kt, looking forward to the card, thanks for the weather update

Race 2 nothing for me here but we do have share in Regina Argento so pulling for some encouragement from him, 1st time out today, sounds like this is about gaining experience

Race 4 Sign of Fate, horrible draw and the fav gets gate 1, first 2 runs up the straight at Scottsville but was heavily backed last time and if handling the turn I can see her winning.

Race 6 what a cracking race, so tough to punt though, will probably side with William Robertson from a short list of pretty much the whole field, agree with kt that Battle Force price is way too big

Race 8 probably looking for chinks in the fav's armour that simply aren't there but it is first time at Greyville going the other way round, seem to recall Kommetdieding struggled in his KZN debut before mastering the turn and subsequently winning the July. No such doubts with Cousin Casey who's prep should have brought him on, so going with the Cousin and think there will also be improvement from Dave the King

Race 10 Tirpitz looks the one to beat to me but I will go with Time Taker who's MR has plummeted and also has a handy draw.

Thanks kt, the new boy can only benefit from whatever he learns today, looks like Royal is stepping out again next Saturday in a pinnacle which will have my engines running, he had a nice break on returning from Joburg. Enjoy the horses mate

cracking card in KZN and weather looks perfect. Wish i was there, do miss going to the track. Anyway a few from me -

Drill Hall - what a field, super competitive. 2 for me - SEEKING THE STARS @ 33/1 ew. Marshall does not run horses in features if not fit/in with a chance. This one is classy, likes the track, long break after injury but stable comments positive and no harm at the price. My other is SAFE PASSAGE @ 8/1. Probably needs the run but jockey booking catches my eye and jumps from a nice draw.

Fillies - HOLD MY HAND @ 13/2 ew, think she'll be mowing them down late, a c/d winner.

Guineas - I do like AT MY COMMAND @ 16/1 ew, this horse goes well fresh and is apparently looking like a beast up the highveld where the yard base their top sorts. Been following him for a while, think the course will suit and hoping he's in front 3 turning for home.

Good luck guys with the rest of your punts, I will be taking a month or 2 off punting, maybe till the July. Been bleeding consistently for the last few months and KZN racing for some reasons just kills me, it is like the Sunday curse to you rugby punters. LOL.

You know its time to take a break when you trying to figure out which to Pawn, the Ipad or the Laptop for fuel. LOL.

Enjoy and good luck Mackem for next weekend, will be watching and shouting your big boy home.

It’s tough in KZN racing totally agree, I’m also cold as ice there. Come back strong mate, your class will prevail.

Last race Captains rocket 16/1 for a get out punt.
