Newcastle Jets vs Melbourne City
Melbourne City had the weekend off after their clash with Perth was postponed, which will allow their big contingent of Socceroos players a few more days to freshen up, as they return from national team duty and injury, in what is a huge boost for them.
City’s strike force is very good, however their defence is not at the same level.
Newcastle plays attacking football and that will allow them to really put the pressure on.
Following a tough loss against Western United in the previous round, Melbourne City will be desperate to return to winning ways.
These are two teams whose matches have averaged the most total goals this season.
They are two of the league’s three-highest scoring teams.
Both outfits have secured just one clean sheet each this season, and rank first and second for total shots per 90 minutes.
Bet 1: Melbourne City @1.95
Bet 2: Total Goals Over 3.0 @1.98
Bet 3: Over 2.5 goals & BTTS Yes @1.83

CC Mariners vs Macarthur
The Mariners last league win came on December 18 against the Wanderers before almost a month off due to Covid postponements, and they have now dropped three straight in all competitions.
The Mariners have fallen inches short against some of the competition’s top teams in Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City, however this time round they will be looking to make amends at their home ground.
Mariners Head Coach Nick Montgomery said that his squad are going to bounce back after a first-ever cup final defeat last weekend.
In the reverse fixture between the two sides, Macarthur won 1-0, in what was a good display of attacking football from both teams, but they missed a lot of chances, with a total of 44 shots and 15 corners.
Macarthur’s form is similarly spotty with a draw and two defeats from their last three outings, however that does include over a month off in that time.
Bet 1: Mariners -0.25 @1.93
Bet 2: Over 2.5 goals @1.90
Bet 3: Over 10.5 Corners @1.91

Wellington Phoenix vs Adelaide United
Wellington had their first clean sheet this season at the midweek.
Both teams play free flowing football and we regularly see goals at both ends of the park when these two teams play.

Victory lost 0-1 to Wellington last time out, in a match where they created numerous opportunities but they missed.
They are determined to bounce back in this match.
The Jets play free flowing football, and while they score plenty of goals, they have the leakiest defence in the league.
Bet 1: Melbourne Victory -0.5 @1.90
Bet 2: Victory win & Over 1.5 goals @2.25

Sydney won a couple of games, but they struggled. They are still not convincing, they are far from the team that was winning the title a few seasons ago, even though they have more or less the same players. The teams they beat are in the bottom half of the ladder, whereas Western United are at the top, equal on points with Melbourne City.
In their last three games Western Utd beat Melbourne City and drew away to Macarthur, much stronger teams than Sydney struggled to beat by one goal.
I think Western United could come out with something from this game.
Bet 1: Western Utd +0.5 @1.83
Bet 2: Draw @3.57

Southampton are becoming a "Shoot on sight"side. They ran up over 20 shots against Spurs and won the corner count 8/2. These teams last met in August 1-1 and the corner count finished 7-7. Pretty good from Southampton with only 36% possession.
BTTS - Yes and Southampton win the corner count @ 9/2

Early tip as price could shorten:
Wolves 10 shots @ 5/4 ( sky bet )
Wolves always seem to have a go against Spurs. They had 29 shots against them in the reverse fixture, also remember them doing something similar when Mourinho was in charge.

Brisbane Roar vs Macarthur FC
Brisbane played their last game nine days ago, a 1-2 loss to Newcastle, a match in which they missed many chances, including a penalty.
Macarthur are coming from a Thursday night high scoring draw, 3-3, with the Mariners.
In their last three matches, after they resumed their season, Macarthur’s defence showed gaps, with eight goals conceded.
Brisbane will have their chances and in front of a shaky defence and with the home crowd behind them, they’ll get the job done.
Bet: Brisbane win @2.01

Absolute dross from the Community Stadium yesterday. The desperation to keep your seat on the EPL gravy train far outweighs any duty to the fans or the traditions of the club.
