My pick for top batsman is a pure value play.

Pokerbet currently have M. Rizwan as a 100-1 outsider.

Pakistan should be there and there abouts come knockouts, they are familiar with the conditions and Rizwan & Azam is notorious for playing for their own averages above the team's needs.
Rizwan's last 2 outings were an 86* against Sri Lanka and 103 against NZ over the weekend, so he is hitting form at just the right time.

OUTRIGHTS

Have to favor India at home. Leaning towards New Zealand to show as they have a few big hitters and the dibbly-dobbly bowlers to annoy. Did not even raise a sweat against the Protea's yesterday.
Regarding the Protea's I think Klaasen is more suited to ODI then T20 and is quite capable of going really large. Spinners are not up to scratch in India conditions and KG has just not shown recently. Best bowler probably 50/50 Ngidi/Jansen.
On the tournament as a whole I think Eduard has picked the batting value above. On the bowling side I am delighted to take the leading wicket taker from the Asian Cup at the generous odds being offered.

Straight
India - New Zealand @ 12/1

Protea's
Top Batsman
Klaasen @ 6/1
Top Bowler
Ngidi @ 4/1

Tournament

Great bets Vin.

Not having much fun myself. The books have reduced odds on my bowlers by around 50%. Used to be a 5/2 with two at 33/10 and 7/2 and balance over 4/1. Top Indian bowlers today all four 5/2 or shorter. Wicket taker bets also useless as they offer four at 3/1. Factor in the 35-40% dead heat and you are getting around 18/10 on four equally priced bowlers.

Well done yesterday BB, stiff on the Indian sixes Vann.

AUS vs SA

The digging up of the pitches and relaying new ones has made betting options on this game an unknown. It's a pity as Sportingbet have some nice boosts and quite a few catch the eye.

I like taking a bowler who has struggled in a previous match and Jansen 2+ wickets at 2.15 or over 36.5 PP ( can produce with the bat as well) at 1.83 are standouts. But back to the unknown of conditions and I prefer to stay away from these prices.

So instead taking three darts at MOM for the game as cant get hurt at those prices. Covering all options with my choices, and all three should hopefully contribute with both bat and ball.

Maxwell MOM - 13/1
Jansen MOM - 17/1
Maharaj MOM - 21/1

Few beers for the watch. . Chances are Lucknow give the match a good wicket as India only play here on 29th. Locals would also like to see their man Quinnie on a good wicket (Me reaching for straws)

Back to Chennai for this game and after Australia poor showing here against India, the spinners should enjoy conditions again. The pacers also picked up wickets in that game so I think they could find some assistance as well.

Devon Conway and Mitchell Santner should enjoy the conditions as well since its a home game for the CSK men. Conway to hit a 50 at 2.75 is a nice boost at Sportingbet.

When I saw you could get 3.25 at Sportingbet for Rachin Ravindra to hit a six and take a wicket that immediately stood out to me, but now that Williamson is back, I have no idea where Ravindra will bat. That uncertainty made me look elsewhere for a bet.

When it comes to the PP points bets, allrounders and WKs are the perfect guys, as they are always involved with bat, ball and in the field. I was surprised to find that Mushfiqur Rahim line was set at 27.5 at Betway. For a WK that will have a few stumping opportunities, and can hold the bat quite well, that line is around 10 points too low.

Sorry for the long post just wanted to share my reasoning but my bet:

Mushfiqur Rahim over 27.5 PP - 1.83 (Betway)

Hopefully should be a cracker today and its going to be a batting wicket as well. 300+ by each team at 3.50 is value but I am going for the PP market again.

Both WKs are in fine form and will play a crucial role during the middle overs. I like both your top batsmen bets Chris and I agree, expecting big games from both men. However, I am covering myself by also backing these guys in the field today.

As long as its not a one sided game, both bets should run close.

Very stiff on that Rizwan top bat yesterday Chris, that collapse by Pakistan was pathetic.

ENG vs AFG

Back to New Delhi today and should be a batting paradise again. After yesterday bets went 1/2, got unlucky with the Rahul bet as if Pakistan didn't choke, it should of won as well. Anyway that made me rethink some betting as the toss is playing a big role, and if Afghanistan bat first and struggle like they did against India on a batting wicket, players like Buttler, Livingston may not get a chance to bat.

So instead I am looking at players higher up the order today, plus one PP on an all rounder who should contribute with bat and ball irrespective of a Afghanistan collapse or not.

Malan & Root 100+ runs combined - 2.20 (Sportingbet)

Root over 0.5 sixes - 2.50 (Sportingbet)

World cup seems to be moving at a snails pace. Anyway a good game on paper today so hopefully both sides provide an entertaining game.

AUS vs PAK

Bengaluru finally gets their turn to welcome the CWC today and based on RCB IPL games, plenty of runs and boundaries are on the menu. Problem is, can you really trust both teams to score big? Especially as they are known for their unprecedented collapses while in good positions.

Avoiding batsmen today, and going for a bowler who carries the hope for the PAK bowling line up. So far he hasn't delivered for the team but he should get among the wickets especially in the death overs.

Shaheen Afridi over 35.5 PP - 1.83 (Betway)
