Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday 2nd January where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

WINTER BLESSING stayed on at the finish when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. She found one too good in the form of Malshana Mou that day. The daughter of Querari would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She meets the right field and can shed her maiden tag.

CAPTAIN VENTURA should have finished closer to the winner last time. Her penultimate run when third over this distance on the polytrack, catches the eye. She tries the cheekpieces which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

SARGASSO SEA showed improvement when third over 1200m on this course last time. She is a progressive type and may have more to come.

Race 2

BLACK FROST showed good improvement when second in his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He was carried outwards leaving the start and finished off his race strongly. The son of What A Winter would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. In this field, he can go one better.

GREEN TICKET finished 4.6 lengths behind the top choice on debut. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

HEY DIDDLE DIDDLE was in need of her debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She would have come on from the run and drops to 1000m. If not too green around the turn, she can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 3

MAPHAKA finished 1.4 lengths behind FORTRESS OF FIRE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He finished second over this C&D, three runs ago. With luck from his awkward draw of eight, he may be rewarded for consistency.

FORTRESS OF FIRE won a good race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He received a four- pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

BEAMONESQUE was a tad disappointing over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. His form prior to that outing was good. If putting his best foot forward, he should be competitive.

Race 4

DOUBLE CAUSEWAY made the expected natural improvement when shedding his maiden tag over 1400m on this course last time. He lost a length leaving the start but finished his race off strongly to get up where it matters most. The son of One World takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and may be up to the task at hand from pole position.

MASTER DU ROUVRAY tried hard when second over 1900m on the polytrack last time. He finished 2.15 lengths behind GOTTA GO EDDIE in his penultimate run. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

GOTTA GO EDDIE had excuses in his last start over this C&D. Callan Murray is booked to ride and on best form shown, he should be involved at the finish

Race 5

ACTOR’S last three starts have been good. He was running on when third over this C&D last time. He is a horse with ability and from pole position, he can notch up his second-career victory.

RED BOMBER hails from the visiting Johan Janse van Vuuren stable. He is better than his last start in the Non- Black Type WSB Grand Heritage. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from six starts over this distance. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

THE MARQUEE is a progressive individual and won his maiden over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 6

SONATA SAMARITAN produced an eye-catching comeback run over this C&D last time. She was slow into stride, ran on powerfully before getting touched off by Ladyofdistinction. The daughter of Skitt Skizzle would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She has cracked a good draw of three and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can go one better.

JULIET TANGO ran a good race when third over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. She is carded to race on 26 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

UBUKHWEBEZANA is a winner of her last two starts. She returns from a well-deserved 15-week break. If not in need of the run, she can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 7

DRICUS fought hard for his last victory over this C&D. He received a two-pound penalty for that outing. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. He is in a good space and may be the one to beat.

SAIL TO THMOON is better than his last start over this distance on the polytrack as he was reported to be distressed. If finding the form of his penultimate victory, he should be competitive.

SUN DAZED ran on from last when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. Keagan de Melo retains the ride and if taking to this course, he should be right there.

Race 8

THUNDERBIRD showed some signs of needing his last start over 1600m. He raced from a handy position and did not go on with the effort. The son of Querari would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he can return to winning ways.

TOWN CRIER’S last two starts have been decent. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He drops back in class and would not be a shock winner.

TRIPPI’S SILK stayed on when third over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He is having his peak run and if settled into his new surroundings, he can feature
