BettingDiaryWe take a look at some of the sporting options available for punters on Wednesday including the first two quarter-finals in the African Cup Of Nations.

AFCON 2019

Senegal are firm favourites at 5/10 to see off Benin in the first quarter-final and given how rare goals have been in these Championships it is no surprise to see under 2.5 goals trading as short as 9/20.  There have been some big upsets in this Tournament already, but we think Senegal will progress with victory within the 90 minutes and fancy the 2-0 correct score line at 19/4.

The other quarter-final will of course have plenty of local interest as Bafana Bafana take on Nigeria.  The Nigerians have been backed into even money favourites with the draw at 2/1 and South Africa at 7/2.  For all of the criticism they have taken about their attacking play, South Africa have looked very solid at the back and we fancy under 1.5 goals in total at 12/10.

TOUR DE FRANCE

Stage 5 of the Tour de France takes place on Wednesday and it certainly looks the toughest stage yet with the riders racing a 175.5 kilometres and having to go over some fairly steep if short climbs.  This stage could well go to a breakaway, but at the same time some of the stronger sprinters like Sagan and Van Avermaet may try and keep it together for a reduced bunch finish.  Put simply this is wide open and aside from Outright Stage Betting there will also be Match Bets available on the stage.

The Yellow, Green and Polka Dot Jersey Classifications are updated each day and you can click here for all Tour de France betting odds.

WIMBLEDON

It is men’s quarter-final day on Wednesday and if the betting is to be believed, all 4 favourites should progress without problems.

Novak Djokovic is 1/25 to see off David Goffin, Kei Nishikori is a 6/1 underdog against 1/11 shot Roger Federer, Roberto Bautista-Agut is 2/11 to see off Guido Pella and Rafael Nadal is a hot pot 1/10 favourite over Sam Querrey.

Good news though is that there are plenty of Exotic Markets in each match for example in the Djokovic game you can even money over 32.5 games in total and 7/10 under 32.5 games.  You can also bet on a number of sets as well as the match handicap which has Djokovic (-7.5) games favourite, so if you back him on the handicap you need him to get 8 or more games than his opponent.

A quick look at the outright betting where there has been very little change with Djokovic trading at 13/20, Nadal and Federer are 3/1 each and you can get 40/1 and better the balance.

CRICKET WORLD CUP

The Australian v England semifinal takes place on Thursday and our betting preview is up in our blog and well worth a read.

We fancy England to score over 15.5 runs in a single over at 9/10 and are also looking to go over in the Player Performance Market on Chris Woakes.

The current betting sees Australia 23/20 and England 8/11 favourites.

HORSE RACING

We have Horse Racing coverage from around the Globe and you can click here to access all markets.

On Wednesday local racing comes from Scotsville and it is an 8 race card starting at 12.25 pm and finishing at 16.35 pm.  The 6th race looks a very open affair, and the 4 year old, Walterthepenniless, currently priced as 9/2 joint favourite with Before Noon looks a lively threat.
