BettingDiaryDSTV Premiership action continues this weekend and we pick 3 matches to look at from a betting angle.

SATURDAY

CHIPPA UNITED v ORLANDO PIRATES

Chippa United sit 7th on the log on 4 points from their 3 matches. They lost last time out 1-0 at Royal AM, but prior to that played a goalless draw at home to Mamelodi Sundowns and beat Sekhukhune 1-0 on the road. Their 3 matches have only delivered a total of 2 goals so far.

Pirates are 4th on the log with 1 win and 2 draws in their 3 matches. Their win came last time out 1-0 at home to Swallows and they drew against Marumo Gallants and Stellenbosch.

Chippa United 13/4

Draw 19/10

Orlando Pirates 11/10

Suggested Bet: Pirates win at 11/10

Chippa are really struggling for goals, but what swung me to this bet was the head-to-head between these sides with Pirates incredibly winning their last 10 matches.

KAIZER CHIEFS v ROYAL AM

Kaizer Chiefs are 10th on the table having taken 4 points from the opening 9 they have played for and Royal Am sit just a point below them in 12th place.

Chiefs went down 2-0 away at Mamelodi Sundowns last time out for their first loss of the season having beaten Baroka 2-1 at home and drawn 0-0 away at TS Galaxy.

Royal AM opened up their lives in the PSL with back-to-back defeats away at Swallows and at home to Cape Town City, but they edged Chippa United 1-0 at home last time out.

Kaizer Chiefs 17/20

Draw 22/10

Royal AM 79/20

Suggested Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 17/20

Chiefs have a habit of disappointing their backers, but given that Royal AM are effectively Bloemfontein Celtic, but having relocated to Kwa-Zulu Natal, they really should be able to bag the 3 points here.

SUNDAY

SWALLOWS v SUPERSPORT UNITED

Swallows have taken 3 points from their opening 3 matches and last time out lost 1-0 away at Pirates. Previously they had played to a goalless draw at AmaZulu and beaten Royal AM 1-0. So much like last season goals have been hard to find in Swallows matches.

SuperSport are currently sitting 2nd on the table with 5 points from their 3 starts. They drew 0-0 away at AmaZulu last time out, but previously beat Golden Arrows 3-1 at home and played out a goalless draw at Cape Town City to open their season.

Both fixtures between these sides finished 1-1 last season.

Swallows 37/20

Draw 18/10

SuperSport United 37/20

Suggested Bet: The draw at 18/10

This is a slightly shorter price than what we normally get for the draw. Given the history between these sides and the fact that both of them are struggling to score goals it still looks worth having a punt on.
