Cape Town City turned up in Johannesburg on the weekend only to find Kaizer Chiefs could not honour their fixture due to the number of COVID cases in the squad. It appears though that Cape Town City will be awarded 3 points, but I have not been able to find any clarity on that.

Prior to the Chiefs fixture they had gone 3 games without a victory with 2 draws and a loss. They are unbeaten in their last 4 home games and overall their home matches averaged 2.2 goals each this season.

Maritzburg United are sitting in the bottom half of the log and they have only won 1 of their last 10 matches and have drawn their last 3, most recently 1-1 at Swallows. The last 8 Maritzburg matches have all seen backers of under 2.5 goals collect profits. Maritzburg have only won once on the road in 8 attempts and those 8 away games averaged a total of 1.6 goals each.

That was the 5^th successive game Stellenbosch have gone without a victory and overall their home record is played 7, won 3, drawn 3 and lost 1. Stellenbosch home games have averaged 2 goals per match.

SuperSport are 6^th on the log and they have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for. Their last game was a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune at home and prior to that they drew 2-2 on the road with Mamelodi Sundowns. This looks like being a tight affair and there really isn’t much between the sides. The straight draw certainly appeals at 2/1, but I am going to have a go at the correct score market here.

AmaZulu are 9^th on the table and while they haven't lost in their last 6 matches they have drawn 5 out of those 6 games, most recently a goalless draw at home to Royal AM. They are undefeated at home this season with 5 draws and 2 victories in their 7 games and in 7 home matches there has only been a total of 5 goals with AmaZulu scoring 4 and conceding 1.

Orlando Pirates are 7^th on the log taking 5 points from the last 9 they have played for. They drew 0-0 at home with Baroka last time out. Their last away game was an impressive 3-0 win over Stellenbosch, probably their best match of the season. I am basing this mainly on the very impressive win over Stellenbosch and the fact that AmaZulu haven't been defeated at home yet they really are struggling to get amongst the goals. Of course I looked at the goals markets, but under 2.5 goals is trading a bit short for me at 4/10 so I will stick with a straight win bet on Pirates.
