The Rose Bowl in Southampton is the venue for the 3rd and Final T20 between England and South Africa on Sunday. With the series locked at 1-1 we should have a great match in store.
Having lost the opening T20 by 41 runs in Bristol the Proteas turned in a much improved performance beating England by 58 runs in Cardiff.
England won the toss and elected to field and although de Kock went fairly early South Africa batted well to get to 207 for 3 with Rilee Rossouw on 96 not out at a strike rate of 174. Most of the English bowlers were given some tap and from an economy point of view Topley would have been the pick with zero for 30 in his 4 overs.
England got off to a solid enough start, but then the wickets began to fall and in the end they were bowled out for 149 in the 17th over. Top score was Jonny Bairstow with 30 off 21 balls and Phehlukwayo and Shamsi both got 3 wickets although Shamsi’s economy rate of 6.75 in his 4.5 overs was far superior to Phehlukwayo’s.

SELECTIONS:
South Africa Win at 27/20
The Proteas delivered for us in the 2nd T20 and based on what I have seen to date there is very little between these sides and I am quite happy to be taking anything above 1/1 on the South African team.
Top Home Batsman, Dawid Malan at 5/1
There is some pressure on the English top order in particular Roy and I think the South African seamers can get amongst the wickets early. This should give Malan plenty of time at the crease and I fancy him to deliver for his country.
Top Away Batsman, Rilee Rossouw at 28/20
Rossouw put in a very impressive performance in Cardiff and he is a man that I rate very highly particularly in this format. De Kock has looked slightly out of sorts and is a couple of points shorter than him in the market so for me Rossouw is the play here.
