UCT played 4 matches on the road in the league stage beating Shimlas first up before a 33-33 draw away to Wits an 82 point hiding of the UWC and finally a 30-18 loss to the Pukke in their final League match. They were then away to the self-same Pukke in the semi-finals where they played superbly to win 32-18 to book their spot in the Final.
