There is plenty of sports betting action on Friday and we take a look at some of the highlights in our daily Diary.
CURRIE CUP RUGBY
The Free State host the Golden Lions on Friday night and the home team have been installed as big favourites at (-14.5) points after a very impressive start to the season.
The Golden Lions opened their campaign with a come from behind victory over the Pumas at home and while that performance was not the most impressive, they then came out and beat Western Province on the road, a match in which they started +13.5 underdogs.
The Free State’s opening two wins aside this has been an unpredictable Currie Cup and we think there is value in the Lions to win at 5/1.

CRICKET, THE ASHES
The first Ashes Test got going on Thursday and at 122 for 8 Australia looked in all sorts of trouble until Steve Smith and Peter Siddle came together and in the end Australia fought back to the point where the bookmakers were struggling to separate the sides. At stumps though England had shorted to 7/10 with Australia 16/10.
There is in-running betting on this match throughout all 5 days, including batsmen and innings runs.
