The PGA Tour returns for a signature event as the players head to the South Course at Torrey Pines for the Genesis Invitational and we select 4 players to take on the bookmakers.
The Course
After playing the South Course at Torrey Pines in the Farmers Insurance Open, the players will return for the Genesis Invitational only three weeks later. The tournament was meant to take place at the Riviera Country Club in California but due to recent wildfires it has been moved to Torrey Pines.
Laid out on the clifftops just off the Pacific Ocean, wind always comes into play at this course although at the time of writing conditions look fairly mild with the higher winds expected late on Thursday.
The course has undulating greens that are a test for the best of players while there is water on only one hole on the course.
A par 72 layout the course plays over 7,750 yards, making it one of the longest on the tour and Harris English won the Farmers Insurance Open here with a score of -8.

Rory McIlroy at 8.00
Rory has hit the ground running this season with two top five finishes in two starts which includes a win two weeks ago at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This will be his first time playing in the Genesis Invitational since 2021. Rory last played this course back in 2021 when he was 7th in the US Open and in 4 starts here he has never finished worse than 15th and has a pair of top 5’s.

Keegan Bradley at 61.00
Bradley has got off to a solid start this year with three top fifteen finishes in his last four starts. His best finish this year came at the Sony Open where he finished in sixth place, only three shots off the lead. Bradley finished fifteenth at the Farmers Insurance earlier this year and runner-up here back in 2023.
Suggested bet: Each Way at 61.00 with a bigger stake on a Top ten finish at 5.00.
Tony Finau at 41.00
Tony Finau has a very impressive record at Torrey Pines. Over his last ten starts he has finished in the top five twice, the top ten four times and the top fifteen once. Finau already has two top fifteen finishes this season with his most recent result being a thirteenth-place finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Taylor Pendrith at 36.00
Pendrith is another player who loves the course and he was 7th here in the Farmers and was also 9th here is the 2024 edition. He has 2 top 10’s and a top 15 in his last 4 starts on tour and if the big guns fluff their lines the Canadian can take advantage.
